Week 8 CFB - Grinder +16.7 Units

Back for Week 8 NCAA Football.  That’s three straight weeks of winning for the MemphisGrinder.  Duke jumped out to a 20-0 lead, and I was catching 9.5 points and had already spent that $!!!  Then they realized they were Duke, and this was not College Basketball.  Would have been a 10+ Unit week win if they hang on against VT.  #BadBeat.  Oh well, can’t dwell on that.  Let’s move on to Week 8, where I bounce back again with (2) Five Star selections.   I feel great about them both, and should get us to the pay window for the 4^th consecutive week.  Good Luck everyone, and appreciate the feedback.

** 5 Star Play ** La. Tech -30.5

If I made plays over 5 stars plays this would be it!  The world saw a glimpse at what La. Tech brought to the table in the 2^nd half of the Texas A&M Game last week.  La. Tech is 4-1 ATS this season, and has been protecting the Alumni’s wallets this season.  They have scored over 50 in 5/6 games this season, and in the other game they logged 44.  That’s an average of 53.8 points a game.  Now listen to this juggernaut of team they are up against.  The Vandals are 1-6 ATS, and have failed to score 14 points in 4 of their 7 games.  This is a massacre.  Bet the 1H, 1Q, Game.  Brutality lives here in Ruston this weekend.

** 5 Star Play **  Ball State -3

Let me give you guys a heads up about the state of the Central Michigan Football program…..It Sucks.  They just got pounded into the ground at home by a very average Navy football team.  However, to make this a 5-star play, it will not just be fading a Central Michigan team that is 1-5 ATS this year.  I’m backing Ball State and their 5-2 ATS mark this season.  They know how to make money in that part of the world, and playing against a deflated Central Michigan team is just what the doctor ordered.  Play Ball State, stream the game on ESPN3, and cut it off at halftime and watch a real game.

** 3 Star Play ** Northwestern +5

This should be a classic Big-Ten Game that comes down to the final horn.  Just like Northwestern has been doing all year.  NW is a solid 6-1 ATS this season and catch Nebraska coming off a Bye Week.   Nebraska got exposed in their last game, and I think NW will take advantage of that this week.  Of Course take the 5 points in this contest, but Vegas has the wrong team favored here.  NW in an upset.

** 3 Star Play ** Kansas State +3.5

Well, you talk about a pissed off bunch of Mountaineers this week.  WV got took behind the woodshed last week at Texas Tech.  You would think we would come back and back the high scoring machine.  Not so fast my friend.  Old man Snyder has his wildcats on the prowl this year.  They are 4-1 ATS this year and ranked #4 in the country, and catching a field goal against a team that can’t play defense.   Sign me up please.

** 3 Star Play ** Texas A&M +4

LSU woke up last week and got a much needed victory versus SC.  However, they go on the road and take on Johnny Football.   LSU has the vaunted Defense, and we all know this.  However, I just think A&M need’s a statement game to welcome them to the SEC and this is going to be it.  A&M averaging over 50+ per game the last month.  I just don’t think LSU has the firepower to keep up.  Throw in that they are 2-5 ATS this year.  Gimme the Aggies in a barn burner.

** 3 Star Play ** Utah St -30

Who’s the only 7-0 ATS team in the country??  You guessed it, the Aggies.  I failed to play them last week as they were up against a solid San Jose State team on the road.  Well they handled them by 20+ points.  So you can bank on me backing them this weekend versus a terrible New Mexico State team.   I firmly believe in the streak, and I will keep backing this team until they show me they don’t like $.

Fresno State -15

Fresno State is 6-1 ATS this year, with its only loss being last week on the Blue Turf.  We all know the power of the blue turf, so I’m not going to hold that against them too bad.  Fresno St. is very explosive and can make the scoreboard change very quickly. 

Penn State +3

This should be a classic boring Big-Ten football game.  I will take the Penn State and the points on the road in this one.  They are 5-1 ATS this season, and Iowa is a bit down if you ask me.   

Texas Tech -2.5

I’m sold on Texas Tech.  They handled the high flying powers from WV last week with ease, and look for them to get the intra-state rival this week.  TCU is a bit overrated this year in my opinion, and with the QB position up in the air, I will take the #18 Red Raiders to win this one by a TD. 

New Mexico +11

Air Force burnt us a few weeks ago, and we haven’t forgotten it.  New Mexico is 4-2 ATS this year, and is playing good football for a team that no one has heard about.  They probably won’t win the game here, but look for a close one.

Michigan -10

You know what team this season is not making fans and alumni happy??  It’s the Spartans.  A putrid 1-6 ATS this year.  Robinson will light up the scoreboard in this contest, and you better believe they won’t take the foot off the gas.  Hail to the Victor!  #23 Michigan crushes their rivals this weekend.

Troy -6.5

Flo. Intl House of Pancakes will be a fade train for the rest of the season until they show me they care to play football versus serve breakfast.  Troy is a different football team at home, and I look for them to cover this # easily.

Oregon St -10

Oregon State is still not getting any love in the media despite their nice start.   They are 5-0 and have beaten a few very solid teams to start the year.  I think this line is a little short, and see Oregon State winning by 20+.

Kent St -3.5

This is my, “I can’t believe I’m betting on these two teams” game of the week.    I will let you guys in on a little secret of mine.  Kent State can play some football, as they are 4-1 ATS.  Lay the points, and cash your ticket.
