I just read that they declined to play boise state in a bowl game that is pretty weak of ball state if you ask me. That would of been a great match up.....

they claim none of their fans could afford to make the 1800 mile trip so it wasnt fair etc...  but if they turn down a bowl game i guess that means tonight is their last game of the year

Ball state sounds like it is afraid to play Boise if you ask me.....This makes me want to play Buffalo tonite now lol....

I think Ball State wants to play a BCS team even if they are 6-6.  I don't think they wanted to play Boise State b/c they have home field advantage man.

I think "No" Balls St. Did not want to ruin their magic Season on a away game in Boise.  However imagine if they won what it could do for the program.  Thats why at 13-0 they will end their season in the Motor City Bowl losing to a below average NC State.  And thats why the MAC will never be a thing.

Why would you want your bowl game to be a true road game? I could not disagree more strongly with people who say they ave no guts to go to Boise. They have had a great season and deserve to play a good team at a neutral site. Maybe big bad Boise will play them in a different bowl neutral site. By the way the MAC is better than the Big Ten this year FYI.....

Yeah they said their sponsors had something to do with it. Who would want to play a neutral site game at Boise? Where Boise has lost like only 2 home games since 2000. No thanks...

I don't blame them, they would be at a total disadvantage.  I would also love to see them play Boise at a neutral site, Boise doesn't lose at home.

Ball State has a good team and I'll be watching them in whatever bowl they play in.  They want to go somewhere that they have a fair chance to win so they can get that nice big check.

LMFAO  Guess Ohio State should have declined the National Championship game because it was 70 percent LSU fans..FYI, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan St would roll any MAC team

Don't hear anyone saying anything about the home field for LSU last year.  You could not hear the guy next to you when Ohio State had the ball.  Insane

Why is the MAC Better than the Big 10? Because Toledo beat Michigan? Two best teams in each league.  Penn St would roll Ball St, Buffalo would lose by at least 20 to Ohio St.  How is the Mac Better?

Using that logic, any Big 10 school would turn down a trip to the Rose Bowl.  What a bunch of losers.

If their fans can't travel they would ended up losing on the ticket deal, souvenir, etc ..... College football is not the same as the pro. The fans' support is key and very significant to the program. I do not think they are afraid to play any body - it is not fair to call any college team afraid to play against any other team. A player will never back down to challenge. They just want to play where their family and friends can come and watch them win. Why can't they schedule Ball-Boise game on a neutral field where the fans from both team can travel?

Ball St. Vs Boise would of been an entertaining game. I think the Broncos would win by 10 on their home turf.

As I see it Ball St. has been complaining about getting no respect compared to the other non BCS undefeated teams Boise and Utah. Well here is your chance for respect. Go beat Boise take their undefeated season away, probably leave no doubt as to who the #1 undefeated non BCS team is. Istead you want to go play some barely bowl eligible team out of a major conference. That's a no win situation. If you win people say the team was weak. If you lose people say I told you so Ball St. only plays well against weak division teams. I'de say if anything it would have been a good opportunity for Ball St. and an average opportunity for Boise at best.
 
Ball St. would get smoked by any Top 10 BCS school!!

I don't blame Ball State for Declining...why would you play a true road game at Boise for your Bowl Game on the Blue Turf...this is why BCS sucks...you are going to have 3 non BCS undefeated in Utah, Boise and HOPEFULLY Ball St...they need to revamp this shit system..I'm not saying Ball State would have a change against, Okie or Florida or whoever, but they should at least get their shot

The best two teams in the Little Ten are better than the MAC but top to bottom C. Mich, W. Michigan, Toledo, Buffalo and Ball State are as good if not better than the Big 10's Top five . Thank goodness we don't have to watch another Little Ten team embarrass themselves in the title game....

The smurf turf is tough to play on. When Boise St. wears the blue uniforms at home I can't find some of the players until they are 20 yards downfield. I can't beleive the NCAA doesn't make them change the color of the field to green like everyone else.
Afterall, the NCAA made the former Ark. St. Indians change their name to Ark. St. Red Wolves.
But Florida St. had enough money from their boosters to buy their way out of having to change their name from the Seminoles.
