    Could not agree more about watching Ohio St get beat down in another Nat Championship game.  They don't belong. With that being said if someone puts together a Big 10/Mac Football Showdown, the Bog 10 would win more games.

A matchup of unbeatens would have been nice, but play it on a neutural field, okay?
 
A home game for a bowl? No wonder people want to trash this game.
 
There has GOT to be some bowl that would like to see this. Tie-ins be damned..............

They were probably thinking it's cold in Boise this time of year. It would of been a good game but I prefer watching the little schools like Boise St. beat up on the OU"s of the world.

Why would you want your bowl game to be a true road game? I could not disagree more strongly with people who say they ave no guts to go to Boise. They have had a great season and deserve to play a good team at a neutral site. Maybe big bad Boise will play them in a different bowl neutral site. By the way the MAC is better than the Big Ten this year FYI.....
 
 
This is EXACTLY my point on bowl games...Didn't OhiO  St have to go down to LSU before, what about the big ten always going to play USC in the rose bowl???  Bowl games SHOULD ALWAYS be played in a neutral field.  Ridiculous.  If I were ball state, I would not go either.  Plus, shouldn't a bowl game be a reward to a warmer climate???

Ohio State better not get the bid over them!!!!!!!!!  THey suck, big10 football sucks, and I hate watching Ohio State play - they suck in BCS bowl games...  They have two losses...  Reward the team who is undefeated !!!!!!!!!!!!!

dunno, odds are they would be playing a reasonable distance away anyway.  They can't afford 1800 miles, but they can afford 1000 miles away, though?   No, its the homefield thing that made them decline.  Not saying I blame them.  They should at least be able to play a bowl game at a neutral site.

But if you look at the bowl schedule year to year, one of the teams is usually in a very favorable "home" situation

Wrong! Were you even at the game? Obviously not. There may have been more LSU fans there, but that's only because Ohio State fans sold their tickets. It wasn't even close to 70%. Both schools are given the same amount in bowl games. LSU fans are just that loud!

I don't blame Ball State declining that offer at all. Why would Ball State want to play a true road game in a bowl against another mid major? It wouldn't be a great game. Boise State would probably be a two touchdown favorite at home. Ball State deserves to play a BCS conference team on a neutral field close to Indiana. They deserve some respect! They are being disrespected being asked to play a true road game away from home. All the bowls are pointless anyway except for the championship game. Let's get a playoff.
