What is a good measure of a QB then? Pass yards? Sims was 18th. Yards per completion? Sims was 19th. Pass TD's Sims was 16th. Points responsible for? Sims was 11th. Completion % Sims was 22nd. Sims was actually very good this year, OSU made him look bad with their #4 ranked pass efficiency Defense and their speed. They didn't do anything special vs Sims that any other defense didn't do, they just did it better.
Umm, no they didn't.
Minnesota scored 24 points vs OSU, they scored 10 garbage time points too.
Indiana scored 27 points vs OSU. 2 on long runs by Coleman which accounted for 142 of the total 395 yards. Including a 52 yard garbage time run with 1 minute left. OSU lost the turnover battle 3-1 too.
Michigan Actually did score 28 points LOL 7 of which came in garbage time... in one of the biggest rivalry game in the country. they still only had 372 yards. FCS South Dakota put 370 yards on Oregon LOL
MSU did put 37 points on OSU, MSU also won the turnover battle 2-0 and has a good offense. They still lost by 12 at home to OSU.
I agree if the game is in Jone's hands they MAY be in trouble. But why would it be? Oregon's defense has not shown all year that they can stop a good offense without turnovers. OSU will run the ball. Unless you are capping for fumbles. Where do these turnovers come from? I would be surprised if Jones threw the ball 25 times. You don't think Meyer knows that Jone's inexperience is the biggest liability his team has? Is it really even a realiability? We haven't seen any evidence that is yet. He bounced back rather well from the INT vs Bama I would say.
You say Fairley graded out AFTER the NCG. Well we haven't even played the NCG yet LOL. Bennett could very well move into the first round after the NCG. The only ? about him has been he is inconsistent. Fairley has been a bust in the NFL BTW anyway. You also didn't mention that Adolphus Washington is supposed to be a top 2 round pick also at the other DT.
We will see, I am saying that if OSU wins the turnover margin or at least goes -1 they win this game. Oregon's offensive #'s are severely influenced because of the +20 turnover margin and the piss poor defensive Pac 12. Will Oregon score? Yes, will they stop OSU? No. OSU's run offense will limit Oregon's possessions. OSU has a much better defense and will get a few more stops than Oregon. This is just a bad matchup for Oregon. Strong run game and good, balanced, and FAST defense. Not to mention Oregon is missing 2 of their top 3 Wr's.
