Will probably promote an interim coach from within the staff (Taver Johnson or Paul Haynes).  My guess is we will try to find a big name coach after this season.  Too many players have voiced their opinion to keep the current staff and system in tact.

Petrino will have to lay low for a year or so....

they're no doubt putting "feelers" out......to see if any of the mentioned guys would be willing to screw over their current employer......> like G McGee at UAB

Butch Davis seems like a great fit....but you can't fire BP for moral issues....then turn around and hire BD.....unless you're really stupid....or desperate

*problem with the interim stuff is that (I believe) the Hogs over the last 2 years have increased their revenue from football....more than any other school......so a mistake...that drops them back well below LSU and Bama...would be really painful > see expensive

I am sure there is a price.  There almost always is. But up until now for him - 1) there is not a price that will make him leave, or 2) the offer has not been good enough.6 - 7 million a year is a stretch though (but your point is still understood).It will be interesting to see if TCU can compete in the Big 12. The program is already catching a lot of buzz lately but just imagine (now that they have a regular opportunity to play the texas schools) if they can come in and beat UT, A&amp;M, Tech etc.

Arky in a tough spot...BIG success that they haven't had in a while...now this. WOW

Gary Patterson is the ultimate answer....but he seems to be the best answer to a lot of programs...he'll land somewhere else soon...2 more seasons TOPS at TCU. He was confirmed at KSU two season back until something weird happened to blow it all up ( now we have Bill Snyder again-boo hoo).

There is almost certainly an asst coach in the SEC that fits the profile of someone that can fill the void at Arky for the next 2-3 yrs....

The next guy won't last...he'll just fill the gap until they can hit next big target.

&#xD;&#xA;Why should they leave? To go to a higher profile job (more scrutiny and bullshit) with more money, or stay where they are treated like kings and basically have zero fear of losing their job.&#xD;&#xA;Of course everyone has a price, but peace of mind and stability or worth a lot.

Cowher?  As in Bill Cowher?  Bill Cowher would be more likely to blow a razorback than move to freaking Fayetteville to coach a bunch of them.  He&#x27;ll wind up somewhere in the Southeast (NCSU, UNC, UCC) or some nice city with a pro team (doubt he&#x27;s dying to spend a lot of time recruiting).  Hell, maybe he&#x27;ll even come back and coach Pitt.  They change coaches a couple of times a year, so there&#x27;s lots of opportunity.
