I’m planning to go to Vegas for the weekend. My flight doesn’t leave until Sunday evening at 7:30. Can anyone tell me which casinos have lines on the following weekends games on Sunday afternoon? What time are the lines released? What is the maximum bet?
Thanks so much in advance.

Circa #s are typically released between 1:00 to 2:00pm eastern time, so I’d be ready by 10:00 in Vegas. Believe they’ll roll through the guys in line for 3 plays at a time, but could be wrong there.... I didn’t make it to Circa the last time I was in town.

Just a heads up - if you’re looking to bet into what you feel are some soft openers (and these books don’t know you as a customer), expect to get limited pretty badly*
*not sure how much you want to get down, but would be shocked if they took more than a dime.

Im not sure what time the lines get posted at the bigger casinos, but you can definitely place bigger bets than 1k.
I was in line at the window on a Saturday night in Aria 3 weeks ago and the guy next to me cashed 5-6 tickets for just under 40k (there are monitors at each window that show tickets bought/cashed cost/collect). They have a line specifically for transactions over 5k.

I’m not talking about a guy betting $5k/game throughout the week, I’m talking about most openers getting circled as they are released (and early in the week) before the lines settle across all betting markets.
If the casino knows you, they’ll let you bet almost as much as you want... on high profile college games and any pro game. But if you want to hammer that mid-day Saturday Sun Belt game over, or the soft NCAAF line Sunday afternoon six days in advance, expect to be limited.

They are very particular about what bets they will take when lines open. Tool is correct in that they will take larger action on nfl and a select few college games they expect action. But even then, there are limits. I’ve had them counter me at 5k when I bet nfl early Tuesday mornings. From past experiences, they will counter and see what the computer does as far as the line and let you make another bet. If it’s a dead number, I’ll re bet, but otherwise shop around. But yeah, good luck getting anything significant on a college game on Sunday.

That is awesome information. I want to bet 5 dimes a game. I play mostly at MGM properties since the party I with have comps, etc at MGM. It doesn’t sound as if that will happen. If I could bet 2 dimes, I would probably make the trip to Circa. Again, Tooltones stated i would get backed off if they don’t know me. I can say I’ve never been in Circa or any of their casinos/sportsbooks.
So, to summarize. The usual maximum bet is 2K, if you are a known customer. If you are off the street, you *might* get 1 dime down.
I might have to rethink my trip next time and stay through Monday.
Thanks again for the input!!

Where are you staying? I’m at Aria currently. Total degen status...sitting facing in the other direction as the rest of the room, staring down down a small tv in the corner of the set up watching this UNC game. I’ll be here through Monday. Let me know if I can help with anything.

College Football lines are given to the LV Hilton Superbook now Westgate approx 9-10pm in evening Sunday. The lines are usually not posted until Monday. No other book compares to the Superbook. Every other book is minor league compared to the Superbook.
What time on Monday do they post the lines? What is the maximum bet allowed on Monday at the Superbook. I’ve always been told to bet at Westgate. I just haven’t been able to get over there.

I was at circa last week. I'm normally a $100 bettor and they said the cap is $2k for college football on sunday when the lines come out.
Does anyone know for sure if you need to be a known bettor? Also, who is to say you couldn’t go back up and bet the same game again for another 2 dimes? I’d assume they’d move the line. I would rather have, say, Charlotte +18 on Sunday rather than +16 later in the week.
Is re-betting the same game on Sunday against the rules?

The only ones I tried have had nickel limits on opening bets . That was 8 or 10 years ago , so obviously it may be different now. My offshore book puts up lines as soon as the Sunday night game goes off , & the limits are a nickel.

Things keep changing in Vegas when it comes to the opening line. That is why I posed the question here on the site. I have received some good information thus far. The limits on Sunday at Circa, if I don’t have a history there, is what concerns me.
I was backed off at the Tropicana a few years ago when betting a bowl game. The lines were made a week in advance and most books had my game at -3.5. The Tropicana had it a -3 but I couldn’t get down a bet because they didn’t know me. They made fill out these ridiculous forms only to deny my bet. I told them I wanted all the papers I signed. I didn’t want them to keep the documents if they were unwilling to let me bet.
Sorry for going off on a tangent.

Love the Aria but the sportsbook sucks there I never have been so disappointed when I went down to the sportsbook after they opened.
