Like i said the first time, I cheer for Alabama when there are not playing Auburn, IF Oregon beats Oregon ST. would the Oregon St fans cheer for Oregon in the NC game???? thats all I am saying, have some pride for your state not just the team, I guess I feel this way with Alabama's history ( the state and the teams) for some reason people dont like to see the The South win anything. I may live in Nevada now, but I was born and raised in Alabama and I will always cheer for both teams to win.

I think that if the Ducks can get by Ore St, then yes, most Beaver fans will pull for the Ducks in the title game. I don't think that before the game(Civil War) there is any question though that they would love to ruin the Ducks season. I think this is probably the case for the Iron Bowl as well. No Tide fan would ever pull for AU in the Iron Bowl. If AU beats Bama and So Car, then yes Tide fans may want AU to beat OR/TCU/Boise etc. It may also depend on personal experiences. I lived in Las Vegas for 7 years and became a UNLV fan by default. In 08 I went to the UNLV-UNR game. The Reno fans were so classless that I could never support UNR sports.

so you bet south carolina and LSU moneyline? bullshit nobody thought stephen ridley and jefferson were gonna be anything but .500 and shit. nor did you have clue who marcus lattimore was in pre season, grow up man. just an ignorant dumb comment. looking at bama's schedule in pre season you figured mallett at home would be a test and florida with meyer and brantley.
I hate to interrupt some people hammering away at their keyboards, keyboard warrior style, but from reading your posts, you havent paid attention to anything Jimmy has said all year.
He didnt think Mallett nor Florida would be tests.
All year he was saying he was concerned about South Carolina and LSU.
You cant just go speaking like you know how someone thinks when there is so much evidence to the contrary.
Now you can resume the attacks and name-calling. I dont want to let the facts get in the way of an argument.

There were quite a few people saying it actually. If you look through the forum you will see it. In fact, you posted in a few threads that stated this by others. These are the same people who also are saying that Bama will destroy Auburn. But I am a lot like Chad, I just can't understand how any team could be picked to destroy a team with a potent offense like Auburn's. You will say that Bama's defense is better than any other teams that Auburn has played and I will agree with you, except for LSU's, but don't act like Auburn hasn't played any good defenses. Call me a homer all you like, and I'm sure you will, but if you have seen my posts I hope you can see that I am not basing this simply on the fact that I am an Auburn fan.
Again.. there might have been threads where UGA was predicted to win outright.. but destroy Auburn? c'mon..
And far be it from me to not really trust a team that's struggled to beat 5-5 Clemson (at home), 6-5 Kentucky & Miss State- who's best win is 6-4 UF..
Not to mention, IF the Tigers get by the Tide, they play a SC team that was beating Auburn in the 4th Q (on the road) and a team that basically gave away the game with 4 TO's.. you can bet Lattimore will get more than 14 carries this time around.. Garcia's #'s.. 15/21, 235 & 3 TDs...
On top of that, wondering when the day will come Newton is ruled ineligible and Auburn fans have nothing left but its 98th ranked pass defense...

I would say that stat is largely irrelevant. If you would choose otherwise, I believe the last Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa had a score of 36-0. Also, the 6 game streak Auburn had on us was during the heat of our probabtion, and they still couldn't ever beat us by more than 10 points during that stretch.
Either way, is there any speculative guesses on what the over-under will be set at?

You just quoted an article by Clay Travis, the biggest moron this side of Thayer out there (actually he is as bad or worse). Word is this thing is getting ready to come full circle and I for one am going to LMFAO when it does at the end of this week or possible next. Really do not care what others say or think, just waiting now...

I gave you a hint where you could find some... but I digress.
Pretty sure Auburn was 2 minutes away from defeating them last year and they didn't have Cam and Bama had a better defense. But the argument that Cam won't be there is irrelevant because he is playing and everyone knows that, even those like yourself, who are praying he doesn't. And you are right, Auburn barely beat a couple of teams... but there has never been a team in history that didn't have a bad week. Bama last year had about 5 games that they "barely got by" which means absolutely nothing. I hope you bet your money on that simple stat. Auburn is 11-0 with 2 or 3 "almost" games so that means Bama is better even though Bama DID lose their almost games. Nice.

Comparing LY's Auburn team at home to this year's on the road is completely different.. is Auburn better on O this year.. yes.. is Bama worse than LY.. yes.. does that mean Auburn is going to win.. no
Cam is awesome and I really could care less if he played or not (would prefer since he will be ruled ineligible at some point later down the road, that he just didn't play, so Boise could play in the NT)..
Having a bad week is one thing.. getting lit up each week vs. the pass is quite another.. not to mention the Tigers struggled to put away inferior opponents on the road in EVERY game (outside 4-6 Ole Miss).. what makes you think they won't struggle this time around on the road facing the best D its faced all year?
I'm betting on Bama because the Tide's D is still very good vs. the run (30th in nation) & the pass (16th) and should be able to establish the run with Ingram/Richardson- Auburn gave up 187 rushing vs. Clemson, 218 to Ole Miss, etc.. running the ball will help set up the pass where the Tigers struggle to stop EVERYBODY.. McCelroy doesn't have to be stellar.. just hit his open throws and stretch the field with Jones, Maze, which he should be able to do off of play-action...

Bama's rush defense at 30 isn't as good as LSU's who is now ranked 24th. The only reason LSU's is ranked 24th is because Auburn lit them up for 450.Without the Auburn game LSU is 5th in the nation at 88 YPG.
LSU's passing defense is ranked 4th where Bama is at 16.
So how is Bama the best defense Auburn will face all year?

Thankfully there is still plenty of sentiment just like yours pretty much assuring people like me of a decent number to profit on just like the past several weeks...

how will Auburn's defense hold Bama under 28 with that defense? How do you expect Auburn to put up that many running the football against Bama's defense? 3rd and 8's draws with Newton WILL NOT work in this game. He has gotten away with this garbage all year against terrible defenses.

I agree that Clay Travis is a douchebag, but he is an attorney who specializes in the NCAA so he is certainly qualified to voice his opinion, and his opinion that Newton will be ruled inelligible at some point is really beyond dispute at this point. As I said last Friday, whatever doubt there was about Newton's eligibility in weeks 1-10, those doubts completely evaportaed after Cecil Newton's Thursday interview with the NCAA, and the NCAA's subsequent second warning about Cam's eligibility. That chain of events convinced Auburn's compliance office to pull the plug on Cam's collegiate career prior to the Georgia game, but that recommendation was subsequently overruled.
With the involvement of the FBI, I believe this will end up being a landmark case that will include federal indictments and possible prison sentences. When it's all said and done, I think Cam Newton's ineligibilty will merely be a bug on the windshield, and the least of Auburn's problems.
As far as the short term is concerned, I certainly expect another bombshell to drop before the Iron Bowl kicks off. Whatever it is, I certainly hope it won't keep Cam off the field. I think everyone wants to see these two heavyweights to go head-to-head at full strength, and may the best team win.

yeah i have the line at bama 4 looks like everyone has a good feel for this game. I think it's going to be a close game i see this being a high scoring game i think the Auburn defense is going to have a hard time holding down Bama, they can't get in a hole early like they did against georgia because if bama goes up by touchdowns i dont see them coughing up the lead.
