another tuesday night special ..last week my early lean was on north texas at home and i decided to go with the cajuns and paided for it ...our defense was on the field to much because qb broadway kept passing 30 and 40 yards down the field,, going for the big play to much instead of checking it down or scrambling for the first down.....plus our top 2 recivers peoples and lawson are questionable ,,peoples with a shoulder injury ,,,so my early lean would be arsky st...plus the points .....being at cajun field thinking lafayette will be a 4 to 5 point favorite with a total around 61.....

hello and bol to everyone...i dont normally take much stock into trends but heres a couple...
the home team between these teams has won seven out of eight games and ullaf has covered six, pushed once, and lost once out of all of those meetings. that loss btw was at ark st.
both teams have played the bottom barrel fl.int....although, its not proper and identical example because ark st was on the road and ullaf was at home but looking at the stats...ark st was beat in a few categories....first downs for one. ullaf dominated them in first downs and total yardage. ullaf even put in their back up qb or the result could have been worse for fl.int.
as for ullaf and ark st...ullafs def has held teams to just over two hundered total yards at home and ark st has given up close to five hundered total yards on the road.
needless to say, i believe the play is ullaf minus the points. id be surprised if ullaf doesnt win by ten to forteen points, if not more...btw, ullaf has scored a minimum of forty points at home.
another note...ark st has given up an average of forty point a game on the road and averages twenty seven points on offense. ullafs def has given up an average of eleven points per game at home and averages forty three points on offense at home.
again, bol to everyone and good luck....
my pick....ullaf minus four

Arkansas State has played the Orgegon Ducks and Nebraska on the road, so I think you should take that into consideration before you peg them as a weak road team.

Hey Michfan34
There is a slight flaw to your logic ..

i wouldnt call it a flaw...the numbers are what they are. did i notice who ark st has played on the road so far? ah, yea...im not blind. just putting my own feedback, true stats, and own opinion out there. i personally just feel that ullaf will put up a score into the forties and that ark st will score somewhere in the twenties.
also, i wont lose an ounce of sleep if it doesnt brake down like i think it will...but it will be nice collecting from my book on weds when it does...
...and believe me, i love searching for favorable underdogs but this one doesnt look to be one...again, in my own opinionnn

The trends don't tell me nothing and useless in gambling. I have to figure out where the money is heavy on one side and play reverse
i agree in utilizing that approach and respect it. my main and only concern with going ullaf is that i dont typically feel safe and secure when im on the publics side of things.
again, bol to everyone and make some money...

Arkansas State is an up and down team. Look at the teams they've played. When they played Oregon and Nebraska, they got smashed against Nebraksa an couldn't score enough in time at the end to cover but against Oregon they came back in the 2nd half after scoring a big fat ZERO the first half. Oregon already gave up covering at halftime. I'm pretty sure Oregon is now feeling sorry that they didn't just run a muck on all the teams they let come back in the 2nd half after they smashed the first half. Now they've lost their 2nd place ranking due to this B.S. because of a stupid computer. Obviously humans know better and that Oregon is a quality team but not in a power conference. So I'd take that statement of Arkansas State playing against those good teams with a grain of salt. Don't just look at the final numbers, look what happened in the game. They got their asses handed to them either way and they played like shit against shitty teams. Also how the hell did an oddsmaker have Arkansas State giving W. Kentucky anything? They're clearly a better team and ranked much higher and honestly I would've called W. Kentucky giving them 3 points which they easily covered.
Also UL Lafayette smashed Florida Intl. at home while Arkansas State won only by 2 TD's. Winning by 4 TD's is definitely more impressive than 2 any day. Funny how they couldn't even cover against S. Alabama. That team is ranked pretty damn low on the totem pole. Only by 7 when you're expected to win by nearly 3 TD's. S. Alabama kept up with their scoring the whole entire game. Don't think this team can keep up with UL Lafayette's home scoring ability. Plus it'll be nationally televised and home teams sure do like to win when they're the sole game on TV.
True UL Lafayette lost on the road outright to N. Texas but it's clear they aren't a good road covering team. Much better at home. They could be 3-0 ATS at home but just BARELY lost it at the end when Tulane stupidly kicked an unneeded field goal. Seriously losing 41-10. Why the f@ck would you need 3 points? Just to be dicks and cover the spread. Only reason why. Not like it's adding any additional encouragement to your team when you're getting smashed already with absolutely no hope.
Give the points. You'll be happy you did!
UL Lafayette will win at home and cover without a doubt.

Great thread ! ULL is the better team here, but as stated above they are hurting and Broadway is shaky at best. With that being said I do think ULL will win this game, I'm just not so sure they cover 4-4.5 points.
No total yet, but I will be looking hard at the Over in this one!

Just can't see the Cajuns losing 2 in a row, especially playing a team they are 4-0 ats last 4. Close for awhile, then the Cajuns get it done in the end. Only game in town so we might as well lose some money on it.

Here's some logic for you. I took ULL last Tuesday and watched as the rajin' diarrheas blew a 14 point lead and not only didn't cover but lost. So why would i go against them this tuesday and have them stick it up my ass?
anyway, word from the beat writer in jonesboro is ULL covers this one.

I usually fade the public on these games since theres nothing else to bet on tonight, but im changing course tonight. Im not gonna worry bout who wins or who covers, im taking the over and gonna watch that scoreboard light up tonight.
