I kept thinking about the USF/Conn game and found the game recap for anyone who is interested. Pitt beats USF 44-17 and UCONN wins 16-10 due to a fumble recovery and a key stop on USF on a 4th down play.

Graham was a beast in the win vs USF running for 226 and even having 4 receptions for 42. BUT...after that impressive win, they are on a 2-loss skid to teams with a combined 8-6 record, Rutgers and Utah.

The last game, played at home, is how I am hoping tonight's game will fare. The Panthers managed just 120 total yards, turned it over three times and a reconfigured offensive line allowed quarterbacks Trey Anderson and Sunseri to get sacked six times.Graham managed a season-low 46 yards, more than 100 yards below his average.

How similar are UCONN and Utah? I have not gotten that far...

If I touch this, which I probably will, I like Pitt.  I'm not a data cruncher, I'm a watch-and-see situational player.  The last game for Pitt was mistake after mistake.  Usually, after such a debacle, the week after rights itself.  I see Pitt getting a couple of key turnovers.  And I think Pasqualoni is the worst coach.  I'm laying the chalk.

2 teams that know each other well, one team runs the ball while the other team tries to win with stout D against the run. I like a low scoring game here so I'll take the double digit points.

just a thought.  These teams have gone 58-45-44-48-91 L5 games.
Maybe an over? 41.5 about as low as it gets in college foots.

U Conn + 10..  I dont see how I can pass this up?  I would put thi line at 5.5.  As far as the o/u, Im not going to bet it, but I would go under if I did.  Also I do like the teaser UConn +17.5 and U 48.5

raining in pittsburgh, It's not suppose to stop either,  that plays into the hands of connecticut with their good run defence. connecticut+10.5

UCONN has been solid and consistent on defense this season. There losses has been by a touchdown or less so it should be a close one.

Pitt has struggled on offense but Ray Graham still has been putting up decent numbers this season. Pitt cannot just rely on their running game as Uconn strength on defense is stopping the run.

I think Uconn is the better balanced team in this game.

Uconn as underdogs 12-5 ats

Uconn in Big East games 20-10 ats

If I touch this game I will be on Uconn

Too much value on UCONN,  there is a possibility they could win this one outright.  
Uconn +10 for me. 

Small parlay with the over 41.5  ( I capped this one around 44, slim margin but worth the gamble IMO)

Just off the top of my head it seems as if Pitt plays really tough at home during these weekday night games? Anyone have any detailed history on these games on hand? However 10 points does seem like a lot to give in a low scoring grind it out game vs a stout run D. Still leaning DD dog here....

This has OVER all over it.

Conn avg 22.3 pts per game 18 on the road

Pitt avg 25.3 pts per game and 28 at home

Conn gives up 20.7 pts per game and Pitt gives up 24 pts per game.

Big D, hope the tuesday under gods forgive me.  I did not go under, I will leave it that.  Looking the forecast, uconn defense, the under should be there tonight.  With that also, uconn should be strong also.  Under Gods please grant mercy on waging sin last night.

In Pittsburgh here. Overcast with slight breezes at 65 degrees now at 2:07 pm. Great football weather. PITTs QB blows but manages to muster games of clairity. PITT will destroy an inferior Uconn team. 33 - 17.

Thanks for the update, regardless of your bias to Pitt, I've seen them step it up during games like these. However, I still think tonights game will play much like last night - within 10 points for the entire game.

As I said earlier in this thread, I think the right play is Pitt.  I'll definitely put a play on Pitt.  Just a question of how much.  All of u sound like veterans, so u know that at some point u have to chuck the stats out the window.  This is another situational play for me.  I've been on fire in the past ten days.  I even hit my first hockey game, even though all i did was toss a coin.  I'm due for a loss, I just hop it's not tonight.  GLA

I'll call it now... UCONN +10.5

Gotta admit, that extra 1/2 point made all the difference.  This doesn't look like a game that UConn has a chance to win, but I think it will stay a lot closer than everybody thinks.

These lines are set based on 2 things...

1 - what odds makers think the outcome of the game will be and...

2 - what odds makers think the public is going to lay money on

Seeing how everybody seems to still be blinded by the Pitt/USF game thinking if Pitt can do that to USF what are they going to do to UConn...

Odds makers know that they can edge this line up a few points because they will still get the action they want on Pitt
