Lot of great points and excellent cappiong going on - regardless of side. I still feel great about Oklahoma +5. Jackyl - I respect your input but respectfully disagree. Not only do I feel that Oklahoma has all the firepower on both sides of the ball to win this game, but I feel that this game comes down to the difference between one team or the other converting a critical possession in the red zone - the difference between touchdown and FG being 4 pts. If I get more than that, it is a gift and this is the reason I waited for the line to go back up - I knew that everybody would continue to jump on the Gators and I would get more pts. As for being SURE about the dog winning outright in order to pick them, I just don't agree with that - maybe we just don't cap games the same way. If you take a team +9.5 (or whatever the line is) are you expecting them to win outright? NO! You're handicapping the matchup of those two teams and predicting the point differential between them - if you take the dog, than typically you feel they will make a game of it, stay w/in the spread and maybe win SU. Just my opinion, but this line of logic has always made sense to me and it has worked well as long as I have been gambling on sports. I think that Oklahoma has TONS & TONS of motivation to win this game; I've watched interviews with the players and you can see the fire in their eyes when they talk about representing the university and the program, earning their respect, shutting up their critics. What happened when they were fired up @ the end of the season? They absolutely decimated every team unfortunate enough to cross their path. The Miss v. Texas Tech argument - garbage! Oklahoma and TT aren't even in the same class and that fact was proven beyond any doubt on the field. Just because one team in your conference comes out and lays an egg, that does mean that the other teams in the conference are similarly bad. Look at the teams themselves, look OBJECTIVELY, don't get distracted by the minutae but rather look at what you see on the field. Who stopped Oklahoma all year? Nobody. Before the games got out of hand QUICKLY, what did their defense do? Shut the other teams down. Nobody shut TT down except Oklahoma - they destroyed them and made them look like the JV squad. To do that against an offense as potent as TT, I'm sold. Signed up, ready to get paid, just laid another wager on OK @ +5.5 - more free points!
