This is the first year in the last 5 that Ball St. has been favored. Their 3 an 2 ATS last 5 seasons.
 N. Ill. showing better on defense and B.St. better on offense.
N.Ill. has covered all their road games this year.B.St. has covered 2 of 3 home games. .

Upset Alert. ------ It was a nice run for the Cardinals but all good things must come to an end.

Colonel - after last weeks crapola of a weekend.  I lost so many close games or in overtime.  But, never give up, keep on chugging along.  Sharp

Tough one to call. NIU is very tough on defense might be a little too tough for Ball St to run all over on.

With the spot that Ball St is in I feel this is a game they will really need to shine in. This is their rare chance to showcase their team on t.v. to prove their BCS worth.

Leaning on Ball St here.

I am leaning toward No ILL here . They have the ninth best defense in the nation allowing just 13.6 pts and 266 yards per game. There only 3 lost came against decent opponent  at Minn by 4 pts, at Tenn by 4pts and Western Mich by 3pts. I feel like their defense will keep this game close and might even pull off the upset. No Ill +9.5 is my play

You......NO I lost all kinds of college games the last two saturdays.....killed a very good season over the last two months.  Now I gotta start all over!!!  Good news, I'm still killing the pros, bad news is I went form 538th place in the NCAA contest pool to somewhere aroun 8,000th!!!!  Unreal!!!!!

I like Ball St. here and the under right now.  Nobody has been closer than 9 all year......nobody closer than 17 since mid September.  They are at home.  I got to take them.......hell I have a degree on my wall from them........just for that alone I got to take em.  GL Colonel and to you Sharp.

Irish - I know what you mean, I had a good bank roll built up and lost it all back the last 2 weeks, but last week was a killer.  Phancard made some great points on this thread.... and for those reasons I'm on N.Illinois... So your a Ball St. grad.  I'll keep that in mind for some insite at some point if you still live nearby or follow closely.  Sharp

agreed fpronk, ball st hasnt given up more than 24 points in a game all year.  i doubt itll happen tonight on national tv.  ball st is my pick

This looks like one of those match ups to where I will have to stay away from the 1st half line with Ball St. They burnt me a couple of times this season starting off slow in the 1st half of games only to pull away in the 2nd half to clear ats.
 
If I do play the 1st half on Ball St it will be a smaller investment than I will invest on the final. Kind of hesitant on this one as of yet only because NIU covered well as road dogs this season.
