Ducks have to flatten USC to move into the #2, #3 rankings....not only do they win...they will win big.

Even if not...they have made me so much money this year...who gives a shit if they don't cover.

Reason's why bookies can't make this a -10+ point spread or higher?

1. They're playing in USC
2. This game will decide who can make it to the Rose Bowl
3. USC is still ranked 17

If USC got knocked out of the top 25 this spread easily could've been 10-14 points.  

Tough one for the bookies to call this week because of those 3 reasons alone.  Oregon WANTS to go to the big dance this year and going thru USC just another team they have to bowl over to get there and there's no way that Oregon won't try their damn hardest to do that.  

Oregon & the over large along with Fresno & the over!  

Excellent 4 team parlay and of course giving the chalk!

I love it when people start referring to big games with the phrases  " no brainer ", "so and so is going to kill'em, " and " "blowout ".  You guys must think Vegas is stupid but John Q is gonna be all over Oregon.  I have no opinion here but I know enough to lay off the public side ( Oregon ) when they are facing a team that has shown the ability to beat them in the past. USC or pass - too fishy

UH - I think you are wise to avoid all the squares jumping on Oregon. Most posters here are square so one should avoid or or go against what most of these clowns are posting.

Every year. every sport - there is always a powerhouse offense that appears unstoppable.  Anyone remember West Virginia earlier this year ?  And then all the square public bettors ( the ones on this thread ) jump all over the unstoppable offense because it's easy money and Vegas is easy to beat and we all know that xyz offense is unstoppable. Blah blah blah.  Then the unstoppable offense unexplicably runs into a tough d, makes a few turnovers, and the next thing you know, an old fashioned football game breaks out and the Big Offense loses.  Don't know if this will be the week for Oregon but I ain't gonna bet on 'em.

You cant be serious.Comparing West Vir. to Oregon.WV defense couldnt stop a nose bleed.Ducks are the much better team

Trojans have the speedy D to keep this close and possibly upset here. Ducks have gotten used to having games done y the half.Don't think it will happen in this game .USC will give em a good fight but i think the  Ducks pull away in the 4th for the W.

 I was using WV as an example of an offensive "powerhouse" that suckers like to jump all over.  Just trying to make a point that people tend to jump all over teams that score a lot.

This game is pivotal for Oregon and makes a HUGE difference in what will happen between now and the end of the regular season.  Don't think that Oregon is overlooking anything with USC.  They will come out firing on all cylinders because even if they say that the rankings doesn't matter, really it honestly does.  It's in the back of their minds all the time and they don't want to be one of those teams that gets cheated due to the BCS ranking system rather than a NFL playoff type system.  

See there are a couple of things that can happen that all rests on this one game alone.  

1.  If Oregon can SMASH USC without any reasonable doubt they will solidify their spot and move up in the BCS rankings hopefully to 2nd place and a shot at the national title.
2. If Oregon lets USC stay close the whole game and end up winning by only 7pts or less, they will undoubtedly stay where they are and will have to rely on #2 & #3 to lose in order for them to have any further shot at the national championship..
3. If scenario 2 happens and no one upsets #2 or #3, then the Rose Bowl is the only thing they will have left.

The money difference between the Rose Bowl and the national championship for the schools in enormous and makes a significant difference.  Oregon is not playing to hope for the Rose Bowl.  USC's only hope left is the Rose Bowl which they will need to win out the rest of the games if they can't beat Oregon and hope that Oregon St. & Stanford drops at least 1 game between now and the end of the season,   

This is one game that Oregon won't be pulling out their starters in the 3rd quarter.  They will need to leave them in all 4 quarters for the first time this year and maybe from now on.  This coach wants the best for their team and this team deserves it if they can prove themselves against USC here.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention.  Arizona runs a similar offense to the Ducks, but clearly the Ducks have perfected this offense more so than any other team in the nation and the scores they put up shows.  If Arizona can put up 30+ points against USC, imagine what Oregon will do do USC?  USC had no answer to Arizona's offense last week and it get's hella worse for them this week.  No one so far this year has an answer to an average of 1:30 scoring drives and I USC won't either.  

Also this is the reason why the Ducks shut out Arizona when they played them earlier this year.  You can't use the same offense against a team that can do it much better than you can.  The Ducks knew exactly how to defend against Arizona when that matchup came to be.
