This should be a great match-up.  Two good defenses and two pretty even offenses.  Of course I'll be cheering on the hometown team but I'll take Texas anywhere beyond -5.5 pts.

Texas has the best run defense in the country.  If they can keep Bama in 3rd and longs they are in great shape to win this game.  They lead the nation in third down conversion efficiency (not sure of the exact number....24% or something) on defense.  Will Muschamp is the defensive coordinator of the decade.  Who did he learn from??? Saban of course, so thats going to be fun to watch mentor vs. apprentice. 

Bama's defense will shut the Texas offense down just like OU and Neb.  Question is what game plan will Texas come out with.  It seems to be a familiar theme of Mack Brown tweaking things over the month bowl break.  Greg Davis sucks 90% of the time and hopefully Mack lays out the game plan for him, taking away his ability to call 5yd pass plays over and over again.  Texas should score a couple of times and keep it close. 

I dont see either team scoring more than 24 points in this game.  It should be a defensive struggle and a game of chess, waiting for someone to make a mistake.  To me this is a 3-4 point game either way.

Very similar situation....NO PRESSURE ON TEXAS AT ALL.  EVERYONE IS ON BAMA TO WIN JUST LIKE USC WITH THERE 3-PEAT ALREADY ON THE TROPHY.  THATS A RECIPE FOR AN UPSET!!!

I love how people keep knocking on McElroy and our passing game.  Everytime he comes through.  Texas passes for 80 yards more a game than we do.  You want to know why?  Cause Texas can't run the ball and they have to throw.  Bama can run the ball and BAMA CAN THROW THE BALL!  When you avg 215 yards rushing a game you don't need to throw a lot.  BUT avging 200 a game passing to compliment the 215 yards rushing is not bad.

Keep thinking we can't throw the ball.

Bama has given up only 19.

Texas has given up 80.

Bama has 35 sacks.

Texas has 7

 

Scratch that looked at that wrong.

Bama ranks 19th giving up sacks.

Texas ranks 80th.

 

Bama ranks 35th in getting sacks.

Texas ranks 7th.

Well texas has 28 rushing td bama has 27 texas has 27 passins td bama had 17! THEN TEXAS DID NOT PLAY UTC.

Well, I backed the Sooners last year against Florida and we saw how that turned out (although you take away the INT in the EZ right before halftime, and it is a very different game imo), and I am backing the HORNS here this year.  Texas did not play well against my Huskers in the big 12 champ game and bama dominated florida in the SEC champ game.  Bama will watch tape of the neb game to see how we defended them, and bama certainly has the defense to do it, but I think Texas learned a lot in that game.  I think their O line and Colt come back strong in this game.  I will be SHOCKED if Bama can run against the Texas front - they have the #1 rated run defense in the country and Heisman winner Ingram will not have a good day imo...I got in at +5 and wish I added more...Bama might win the game, but this will be a very close, hard fought game...

Take away the Big 12 champ game and Texas allowing sacks does not look nearly so bad (Huskers had 9 in that game alone).  Mcelroy is going to have a long day against that Texas front 7 imo

Bama doesn't play any team from the Big 12, UTC could probably win the Big 12 North, and plus we don't run the score up. 

Have been watching this one closely looks like some touts and sharps are on Texas but I just don't see itAlabama should cover the number.

BAMA STR8T UP IM NOT PLAYING WITH THE SPREAD THOUGH .JUST IN CASE.

Think it'll be close so taking the points. Think 'bama is better but they also looked really shaky a couple times this year (TN is the big one where they were GIVEN a win by refs (so was fla a couple so it happens). TX looked real bad against Nebraska (tho there clearly was 1 sec on the clock despite the NE protests) I think the Bama played terrible in their loss, not that TN is good, so I wonder which 'bama will show up but I think TX looking bad was a result of NE going nuts defensively. Anyway not sure which 'bama will show. Think the Ds can slow the offenses down so it will, as is the case in these games, come down to turnovers and I feel Mcelroy will give away more than Mccoy. Plus I think special teams game matters in these kinda contests and TX has the edge there, huge in KRs. So I don't know if TX wins but I think it'll be a field goal game. 

Easy one.  Texas stacks up against the run and forces passes to a play making secondary.  Colt runs the zone read.  ALmost every game, he protects and is no threat to run, thus no running game.  If he tucks it and runs (as he freakin should now that its the last game!!), then it is over for Bama.  Texas by 10.  And yes, no one could run or anything past that beast Suh.  MVP Earl Thomas.

I'm an Auburn grad and it's just tiring how noone nationally challenges what a joke bama's claim to 12 titles is... like how one year they get voted the title before their bowl game and then they lost the bowl game... having said that... bama will win their next title, however many that actually is depends on what team you side w/.... i say bama 34 texas 20.... and fyi don't take those "extendz" pills they advertise on tv... i took them for 2 months and i got excited because I thought that i had 10 inches... then i realized i was measuring from the wrong end of the ruler...  

Season ticket holder for UT football......Everybody forgets that Texas has a good defence.....Every team has a bad game. I wouldn't be surprise to lose but by 3pts.....THIS SHIT REMINDS ME OF US vs USC IN LAST NATIONAL TITLE GAME.....Bama had a great game vs Gators but damn, it could happen....I will put a small unit on ML......I NEVER FOLLOW MY HEART BUT I HAVE TO THIS TIME.....
