This will be a massacre.....I may even drive to Bryan to attend via "root" 6 south from Austin where all those "sharp" Rhodes Scholar Longhorns went to school.....Even my mediocre Sooners hung 65 on em.......

Anyway, how are you guys so sure that Texas won't mail it in with the big 12 championship on deck? Style points are out the window, as they are assured a berth in the title game if they win out. Texas can cover this number if they wanted too, as they have as much d as a JV high school team, but with thier offense, they backdoor maybe open.
Then again Mack Brown is kind of a jerk and loves to run it up so...
Texas maybe?

@Joe Wash: nice catch, I saw that too.

Couldn't ask for anything more...Thanksgiving with family and friends...and my Longhorns on t.v.
Might just watch this game and not wager...I don't like wagering on Texas A&M games....it's like their logo is telling me something...
ATM.....not sure if it's telling me I will need to go to the atm and withdraw money for my losses...or I will deposit into the atm my winnings....
Happy Thanksgiving everyone
Pretty funny BigD -- Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
I'm thinking about teasting A&M up to +28 along with Denver +13.5. Aggies are at home and this is the biggest game of the rest of their season. Meanwhile the 'Horns will have 2 games bigger than this to save up for. Last year the horns won by 40 pts, but prior to that you have to go back to 2003 to find TX covering that big of a number. A&M also WON the past 2 years.
It's not about who is the better team, it is not even close. Just about who's gonna cover.

Happy Holidays to you and your family as well my brother.
Very good points that you stated here
I didn't want to wager on this game but the degenerate in me might just pull the trigger for a Longhorn 1st half play but still not sure. I was just thinking that the Longhorns try to go up early in the 1st half to rest their starters in the 2nd half.
Maybe I'll just wager my Thanksgiving Turkey breast for a Turkey leg
Good luck my brother

Beware...when it seems so obvious, it goes the other way.
I have seen both A&M and Texas in person. This game is at A&M who is desperately seeking to get back to respectablility. Johnson is a dangerous QB for A&M.
Texas has always had the problem at least once during a season to think they can show up and throw the helmet out on the field. This game has that smell.
Will UT win. Likely. Cover not so sure. A&M isn't the old A&M of the past 3 or 4 years.
Trust me. Texas Tech, my team, had owned the Aggies in Lubbock for many a year, but this year they fell into the same trap. Awww all we have to do is throw our helmet out there and we win.
If I had a gun to my head I would take Aggie +22. Texas will win, but by say 10-14.

rivalry game here, throw the records out the window. we (texas)hate them and they hate us. we either win by 42 or get beat by 3.
Totally agree with monsoon. As an A&M grad, no one knows the pain I experience each year by rooting for an underachieving team with world class facilities, planted smack dab in the middle of a recruiting garden of Eden.
Not to be a philosiphizer, but A&M's only chance is the fact that they have no chance. If A&M was say, 9-2, I think Texas would dominate them without question. But as monsoon said, UT will either crush A&M, or A&M will pull out one of those magical games and win by 3-6. On a side note, it has happened two out of the past three years, so the luck may have run out.
I will probably make a play on the 1H over if it is in the neighborhood of 28-30.

The second-ranked and unbeaten Texas Longhorns are just two steps away
from playing for the national title. They need to take care of business
on Thanksgiving night against Texas A&M and then win the Big 12
title game next week against Nebraska. The college football odds favor
Texas on Thursday against A&M in this game that can be seen on
ESPN, but the Aggies have been no pushover this season, especially at
home.
The
Aggies rolled to a 38-3 victory last week against Baylor that made them
bowl eligible. They have the offensive firepower to at least give
Texas cause for concern and the Aggies are playing at home. "It's going
to be fast and crazy," said A&M defensive back Jordan Pugh, "You've
got to savor the moment. You have no choice. All of us as seniors have
to savor this moment and get this win." The Aggies defeated Texas in
2006 and in 2007 but they were blown out last year in Austin.
The
Longhorns have been focused all season as only two of their games have
been decided by less than 24 points. The Aggies on the other hand are
hit or miss. When they hit, they are very good, but when they miss they
are very bad. The average margin in A&M's six wins has been 27
points while in the five defeats they have lost by an average of 27.4
point per game. "These kids are about ready to give me a heart attack,"
head coach Mike Sherman said, "One week is one thing. One week is
something else."
Here are the college football betting stats
for Thursday’s game. The Longhorns are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5
conference games. The Longhorns are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a
road favorite. The Longhorns are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in
November. The Longhorns are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings at Texas
A&M.
The Aggies are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 home games.
The Aggies are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games as a home underdog. The
Aggies are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games in November. The Aggies are
0-6 ATS in their last 6 Thursday games.
The Over is 18-7-1
in the Longhorns last 26 road games. The Over is 7-3 in the Longhorns
last 10 games in November. The Over is 13-4-1 in the Aggies last 18
conference games. The Over is 5-2 in the Aggies last 7 games overall.
The Under is 5-1-1 in the last 7 meetings between the two teams at
Texas A&M.

I DON'T KNOW ENOUGH ABOUT THESE TWO TEAMS TO CHANGE ANYONE'S MIND AND MAYBE THATS A GOOD THING, BUT I DO NOT SEE THE BLOW-OUT. ALL THE TEXAS ROAD OVERS TELL ME THAT HOME TEAMS GET POINTS AGAINST UT'S D. A LOT HAS TO GO RIGHT IN A ROAD RIVAL GAME TO COVER 3 TD'S. I'M NOT SOLD ON IT. SOMETIMES CERTAIN TEAMS GIVE CERTAIN TEAMS TROUBLE.
TAKING THE POINTS - HOPEFULLY GETS UP TO 24
