ya i feel bad ripping axford cause he grew up about an hour from here, but man the guy is a gas can these days, not to mention the rest of the brewers pen... just pitiful

Oh geesh. Oppo both of ya. 

What are you guys seeing? Porcello had a great spring, not the best firs start by have up two homers. 
Buerhle got roughed up all spring except for one game and then spanked around by the Indians. 

Granted I'm capping the first 5 so I don't even look into bullpens anymore.

Porcello. If you back the Tigers when this guy is on the mound you go into the game with no advantage. Last year lefties had an OBP of .381 . Jays rolled out 6 of 9 from that side of the plate today. 4 of those 6 lefties were Reyes, Melky, Izturis and Bonifacio. All guys who if you put them on base they would make you pay by stealing bases. The catcher? Alex Avila. Last year allowed 79 stolen bases in 113 games and only threw out 29% of runners.  Guy should NEVER be a fave over a half way decent team. 

If i can get + money on a team with a better pitcher, a better pen and in my opinion a better line up from top to bottom im going to play it. 

Buerhle also only threw his fastball 37.3% of the time last year. A junk pitcher. What do the tigers feast on? Fast balls. %'s of hits last year off fastballs for the Tigers:

Martinez: 61.5%

Fielder 49.5%

Avila: 64.6%

Miggy: 53.6%

AJax: 64.7%

Hunter: 68%

Infante: 66.7%


Now this is looking at it before the game. Obviously it never always goes the way you think. He got shelled. Thought he would work ahead like he always does and be able to throw the crap to these guys.
