Probably wouldn't matter because I overrate him and prize that 4-year contract I gave him.

They're probably just waiting for him to get hurt again. I like Quentin but I'm not willing to trade anyone for him. Or at least no trade would make sense for me at this point.

All I have to make trades are my rookies. And since nobody cares about the prospect contract, it makes it harder for me to trade them because I put that into account.

The way I go about it is like this. Why should I trade a rookie based on current performance when they can be given a 4 year contract? I get Hosmer for FOUR more years. IF he lives up to his hype, that's a steal. If not...it's not like I'm really losing anything. What is giving up a draft pick compared to a future keeper star?

It makes sense to me. Apparently nobody thinks the way I do. If people want to waste a rookie contract and not use it or give it to a guy like Mark Trumbo...what can I do?
