LOVE IT! Philly get ready for it now. Sox V Phills World Series
Its ok. You are heart broken today. Just look at my avatar and wish my friend .
Yankees proved time and time again that buying offense doesn't win championships.

Why mock me philly? Add salt to the wound? What does it matter anyway? You don't face the Yanks all season. That's like Mets fans worrying what the Yankees are doing. It doesn't mean anything unless they face off in the World Series.
I know you're "busting my chops" but I'm sure you know it's a touchy subject.

Thats great. Tell me the team in the AL who has a better staff then the Sox. I will wait....

How suspect is that Sox staff?

Normally i would agree with you. But not this year. I am not a big fan of Lackey, Beckett or Dice K but when they are your 3-4-5 starter there is no one in the league thats staff that is that deep. Stop being a bitter Yankee fan nitpicking at every little thing trying to make yourself feel better because you will be running out CC, Burnett, Hughes, Nova and Sergio Mitre . Now that is comical.

There is no debate between the Sox and Yanks staff, C'mon Sparky, I know your a fan but be a realist please.
I am a Mets fan and I'll be first to telll you they suck.

And Pettitte will more than likely come back. They will make a trade this offseason to acquire a starting pitcher. Hughes isn't laughable. He was lights out to start the season last year until his innings caught up with him. Happens with most young pitchers. Next year he'll have more innings under his belt and should be better, longer. CC is CC.
The Yankees rotation is just as suspect as the Red Sox's.

I'm not saying the Yanks are better. How can I? But I'm not saying the Sox are a lock for the WS either.

Come on for once take off the pin stripe glasses for once. Be serious. That is a stupid statement and you know it. You dont work for the Yankees. They do nothing for you. Its ok to make a statement against them every now and then.

CC/Lester...You know what you're gonna get.
Everyone else is suspect...correct? Clearly you have higher upside...but suspect nonetheless.

Really?
CC is the only reliable the Yanks have right now.
Hughes is Pelfrey so far, go a full season please.
Burnett we all know is horrible.
Nova is still young but can't go more than 5 innings.
Mitra is what he is.
A trade is possible yes, but still a long shot they get J. Johnson or King Felix but of course Yankee fans say "we'll trade for one of those two and we'll be fine."
Andy is far from a lock to come back, but I think the Yanks will panic now and give him a TON of money.
RED SOX:
Lester = gold
Bucholtz = young gold who has proven he can go a full season.
Beckett is obviously shaky, up and down usually but lately lots of down down. He has been injured though too.
Lackey is in and out not as extreme as Beckett can be but solid innings guy.
Dice-K obviously shaky and I doubt he goes a full season.
I would say Sox are 8/10
Yanks are 6/10
Phillies are 10/10

I cant talk baseball anymore because A. talking to fanatics about their team is impossible for me to do without getting in a heated argument and B. my pants are getting tight thinking about where im going to draft these guys in our fantasy league .

Buchholz has proven that he can do it for 1 season. Lets see how he does it for another full season before he's put in that proven category. I say it's more like Yanks are 4/10 and Sox are 6/10. I think you gave too much credit to both.
As for Felix or Johnson...it's quite possible they can be traded. Montero has a lot of trade value and package him with Nunez (best defensive SS in the minors) and a pitcher like Nova and you can certainly start discussing a possibility since both need a catcher.
Clearly it's a long shot. It's hopes and dreams right now but long shots are what the Yanks have now. Next year's free agent market for starting pitching is weak. Trading for a solid pitcher who will be around for a while seems to be a neccessity. Pettitte has already said that if he comes back, this will be his final season, and he's never said that before.
