New week, new thread... You know the drill.
 
One of my teams is on life support.... Not giving up on them had big time injuries at QB and RB. looks like I am getting 2 back after being out 2 weeks ago and bye last week. McNabb and Westbrook  Hope they blow the doors off the Bucs.
 
Other team are fine 3-1 and 2-2 respectively.

I am 1-3 in the pool I run - thanks to LT, Marshall and Calvin Johnson,  although the receivers stepped it up this week giving me my first win and money for most pts this week

1-3 in my 2nd pool (worth the most $) but no help from my receivers again
Holmes and R.Williams suck, Z.Miller same Romo
and I have MJD and C.Johnson as my rb's so I am really scratching my head

3rd pool worth the least amount of money I am 3-1

Question
I have first claim in the waiver and am contemplating Mendenhall as I am relatively strong at the position with MJD, C.Johnson, Taylor, Coffee, RBush
we start 2/week I kind of need a receiver as they have been nothing but a disappointment for me
I am thinking of still picking Rocket Rashard and turning him into maybe a Cotchery through a trade
gimme your thoughts

I like both of those prospective pickups.... Making a move for both in my different leagues too.

Team that has been bit with injury bug... gets healthy and coming off rough bye week. Every week pretty much now the season.

QB Sanchez at Mia
 
RB Westbrook vs TB
RB Addai at Tenn
RB Turner at SF < Benching Turner killing me in a PPR
 
WR Ward at Det
WR TJ vs Jax
WR Ginn>>>> Getting dropped looking to add Cleveland WR

WR Nicks Oak
 
TE Witten
K Prader>>> Rackers
D NY Jets at Mia
D Buffalo vs Clev

Looks good to me Bustin.....Hasselbeck could have a good day vs Jax at QB. That'd be the only play that I would have to think about.

think you gotta run McNabb out there regardless
Addai should equal Turner with the ppr but I think Turner is the safer play
Tenn has been tough on rb's thus far

Finally got in the "W" column this week. . . I'm 3rd in points, have had all kinds of injuries (mainly LT) but only have 1 win to show for it.  At least the team is looking good as we move on because after this week almost all my major bye weeks will be done.  


First things first, my defense is on bye this week, who should I grab off waivers: DAL @ KC, INDY @ TENN, NE @ DEN, MIA vs. NYJ

Will be back with more ??? tomorrow after waivers clear, but just curious which DEF you would pick up.

Made a mistake. . . Dallas is not available in my main league (was looking at my other league) and they were my favorite out of that group.  The rest are available in my main league also and I will add one: 

JAX @ Sea, INDY @ TENN, NE @ DEN, or MIA vs. NYJ

Picked up  Mohamed Massaquoi  overnight.... and this AM anounce the Browns are trading Braylon Edwards to the Jets
 
Might be my first break of the season.... ready to turn it on now.

Got Massaquoi off waivers this morning as well in the only league I'm stuggling in (1-3).

I was unable to grab MIA or INDY and ended up NE.  I went after Harrison on my 1st waiver pick up because I didn't really see a difference in any of these DEF.  

2 RB 2 WR 1 Flex: pretty much know what I'm going to be doing this week but always good to have some extra input as a couple have some tough match ups

RB: Harrison @ Buff, SJAX, vs. Minn, Smith vs. Pitt, LJ vs. Dallas

WR: Sims Walker @ Sea, White @ SF, Desean vs. TB

i have a lot of byes this week: LT/Sproles, Cutler, Bears D, Hester, but after this week about 3/4 of my team will already had there bye.

Hey guys some line-up questions again:

League 1 (Largest Money League) 0-4; seems like I just keep running into huge games AP Week 1 3 TDs (Brees 5 TD game didn't do enough cause others didn't step-up), Andre Johnson Week 2 -150 yds, 10 Rec,2 TD (.5 pts/Rec), Pierre Thomas Week 3 and Mendenhall last week.

Line up due to byes:

QB: Garrard
WR: Fitz
WR: Harvin
RB: Ricky Williams
RB: Hightower
TE: Rosario
K: Scobee
D: Ravens
Flex: Sims-Walker

Bench:
RB:
T. Jones

WR: 
Ginn Jr.
Sidney Rice
Maclin

Not listing byes, last week I started McFadden over T. Jones and it was a horrible move. Now im wondering should I bench 1 of the RBs in favor of T. Jones? Should I switch Harvin with Sims-Walker then maybe Rice or T.Jones at Flex?

Just got offered Thomas Jones for Rashard Mendenhall straight up do it?? My buddy is a huge steelers fan which is why i think he wants to do it but I'm getting the better deal here long term right??

No, you're absolutely not. Jones is done, and with the exception of a huge 2nd half against the horrible Texans D, he has sucked it up. Washington is getting an equal number of carries, and by the end of the year will have more touches and be the better back.

Bdubb- I start McNabb, I think he has something to prove after being out the past 3 weeks. Pitt was finally able to start running the ball this past week, so I think they try running the ball down Detroit's throat. If I had to choose between dropping Berrian or Owens...It would be Owens but I would try trading him to another team rather than just releasing him.
 
Jw1Ls- I think I go Harrison and SJax.  I think Detroit is going to get rocked and would bench K. Smith...LJ no way, Man how bad has this guy fallen off the face of the earth.
 
Walker, White, Desean as 2 WR and 1 Flex
 
Curtis- I think I bench R Williams.< Not really high on him especially going against Jets D.  And start T Jones at the other RB
 
vvryan- I think I want Mendenhall going forward... I think the future of the Steelers ground game rest with him not Parker
 
small- If I was forced to choose in that situation I play the Cleveland WR...he got all of his braylon's balls last Sunday and now we know why(trade) I think Cleveland should be playing from behind again.

calvin , sims walker or steve smith carolina
 
i have sims walker and calivn in now
 
i am afraid of benching sims walker against a bad seattle defense , but that would put s smith on the bench

 What do you think about Chester Taylor this week...as a BYE week replacement.

Other choices would be C. Williams  or R. Williams.............

I don't think you can bench Sims Walker....I'd pick one of the other two, probably S Smith.
