My league is keeping 3 players this season. Problem is I have 5 or 6 keepers, so I'm going to be forced to let at least 2 go. Had an unreal season last year, and look forward to another great season. Who should I keep, value in my opinion is key in the drafts.
Keeping 3....??
1st round Adrian Peterson
2nd round Calvin Johnson
3rd round Jammal Charles
5th round Aaron Rodgers
7th round Hakeem Nicks
16th round Peyton Hillis

Pretty easy choice if you ask me. Rogers, Nicks, Hillis. Damn good chance 95% of the league will keep their 1st round pick from last year which moves you up on the board and you can either land a better player then Calvin or snatch him right back up giving you the chance to actually get 4 of your guys back. Having the last pick possibly too maybe you get the wheel pick up Calvin and Charles?

ManRam is right. I love Calvin as a lion fan but he really is a second round choice. But since you basically have two second round choices he should be there for you. Although I wouldn't fault you for taking him over nicks or Peterson over hillis but I don't see this as a bad problem. You're in great shape.

thanks for the input guys....ManRam24, the three you selected is my line of thinking...Rodgers and Nicks for sure, I guess its tough being an AP owner and letting him go but Hillis is just a beast and the value with him being a 16th rounder really is to hard to pass up. I guess I just needed to hear dropping AP is the right move to be assure of myself. Your point about having the wheel and going after Charles and Calvin is exactly what I am thinking...I def want Charles back on my team.

I'm really curious as to how Rodgers fell to the 5th round though? I took him 9th overall last year in my main league and felt really fortunate that he was still on the board for me.

I don't remember but Rodgers must have been one of my keepers from the previous year....now that I think about it, Im pretty sure I kept AP and Rodgers going into that draft ?

I would think you have to have kept Rodgers from the year before. He actually had the best fantasy season of all QB's the previous season and is younger than all the above listed. His ceiling, imo, was higher than all of those guys.
Now here is an interesting question: How would you rate all of those QB's heading into this fantasy season? Feel free to mix in Vick as well. What if Kolb lands in Zona with Fitzgerald?
We better have an NFL season cause I'm getting excited just typing this out.
For the record right now I would rank the QB's as follows: Vick, Rodgers, Brady, Rivers, Brees, Manning, and Romo. Believe me that is off the top of my head with no research done yet. Feel free to pick that list apart cause if you asked me again next week it would probably be different.

I know man, Im excited too. Its a tough call to make when dealing with the top QBs in the league from a fantasy perpective. I just look for consistancy. Noting worse than having a player who will put up huge numbers one week and fall on his face the next. Regardings Rodgers, he makes me a little worried having a concusiuon history especially with the new safety precautions. Putting inuries aside, i go: Rodgeres, Rivers, Brady/Manning/Brees, Vick/Romo/Schaub...haha its so tough to decide...

I would go with Peterson, Rodgers, nicks. With ur second round pick u should be able to get some talent..... u can't chance losing Peterson. Hillis is solid but I think he ll struggle this year. He will be overvalued. I have the same problem in a keeper league too. Nicks will get u more catches and has a better chance to be successful than hillis. The browns have two over young rbs that will take some carries. And hillis doesn't get catches.

. Hillis at round 16 is some of the most value you will EVER SEE. No matter how he performs. 16th rounder with the chance to give you 1st round value . CAN NOT pass it up. You think there are questions with Hillis? Christian Ponder and possibly no Sid Rice anyone...

nope charles, nicks, rodgers.. +10th, 11th, and 31st pick. with these 3 + the turn at the end of the 1st you wont need a guy like hillis. youll get a top tier wr and a top 10 rb. then get your flex with the 31...
i agree hillis is the best value, but youll be so stacked you wont care about your 16th rounder.

i forgot to mention ap.... ap at 10th is nowhere near the value of charles at 30.. im shocked people are saying ap, and have made a mental note to completely ignore any advice they have in the future.

Hillis is being way overdrafted this year and I worry about him being a bust, but in the 16th round who gives a shit.

I really want to go with: 5th Rodgers, 7th Nicks, 16th Hillis. Its tougher than I thought it would be to let 1st Peterson back into the draft, but Im a value guy when it comes to the draft and imo Hillis>Peterson in terms of value when weighing draft rounds (16>1).
