eat fiber 1 for breakfast (cereal)
    eat 1 apple per day
do pushups, situps, and squats every other day. You don't need weights but you should start off doing a comfortable amount and increase that amount weekly. You might start off by increasing by 1 or you might increase by 5 or more but perform the increase for the week.
If you have a bowflex or a similar machine where you don't need a spotter you should exercise 3-4 times per week. If you can do 10 reps easily you should add more weight. Big chilito used to do 6-8 exercises 3-4 times per week. He would do those 6-8 exercises 15 times and have enough weight so he'd be struggling at about 12 reps. Then he would repeat those same exercises with more weight 10 times and struggle at the 7-8 rep amount.
Big chilito never did reps back-to-back instead he performed his whole routine then added weight and did it again. He never did a bench press then added more weight and did it again, He performed his whole routine start to finish then repeated it with more weight.
The other thing he did was one complete set and rode a bike at moderate speed then performed his second set.

Squats are a must. Take your pulse before you do 5-20 squats (no weight) and then after....you'll see it will be pumping. If you haven't exercised for a long time go slow, there's no rush.
Lastly, eat like a horse not like a bear. Eat small amounts many times a day instead of eating a lot of food 2-3 times per day. Always, always, always eat breakfast.

My buddy big chilito did this and dropped between 40-60 pounds over 3-4 months. What made him gain weight originally was he never got good sleep, He works 24/7/365. I'm talking 7+ solid hours sleep per night. Look at a nurse who has been working for 10+ years on varying shifts. You'll notice they all have similar body types and its because they rotate shifts and inadequate sleep is their biggest issue.

I've lost a shit load of weight several times.
Don't starve yourself.  Eat smaller frequent meals. Avoid white flour.  Eat whole wheat bread and pasta.  Cut your carb intake.  No need to eliminate it just cut it.  Eat lots of fruits and veggies. Workout and there you go.  Not too hard just takes discipline.

    Calorie deficit.

500-1000 calories less per day than you consume now.

    3,500 calories = 1 pound of fat.

    Cardio + lift weight

    Success guarantee

I mean if you're just eating junk and are overweight, a change in your diet alone should give great results, but some varying cardio should push you to where you wanna be.

Stop drinking sodas altogether, not even diet.

Stop eating white flour. White bread and white rice aren't good for you.

When you're hungry, fill up on fruits and veggies if you can. You can never overeat those.

I believe you are suppose to drink 6-7 cups of water a day. Get one of those big water bottles and drink 2 of them or more.

Good luck buddy. Gettin in shape for Spring Break? Keep a picture of a hot girl while you're on the treadmill and good luck.

never understood how people have trouble losing weight if they need.

    Its all mentality and motivation.

Get your ass in the gym, do cardio 3-4 times a week until you can barely move, run, get on the treadmill, jump rope, get active and get off the internet.

    You'll lose weight guaranteed.

Stop eating fast food, junk food, and food before you go to bed.

Its not rocket science but you got to be committed even when it gets tough, which it will. Thats when people quit.

    Eat less

    Exercise more

Wish I could follow my own advice. However, you gotta walk before you can run. Don't just plow into a weight lifting program, or try to run 3-miles every day. Everything you do for diet and exercise has to be gradual

Yeah I know what you mean, I drink more icy tea than is humanly possible but still am a healthy person I think.

Soda always made me feel like shit when I drank it and made my face break out when i was young so I stopped drinking it cold turkey.

Still drink like a 2 liter bottle every other week or what not, but shit is really not good for you at all
