A new reportby Kellogg's has predicted that traditional  breakfasts will be a thing of the past within 15 years and replaced with things like crab porridge, seaweed flakes and sardines

The report was conducted over several months by Your Future Consultancy who brought in a panel of experts to canvass their opinions, experiences and analysis.

It featured top chef Guy Wolley, food & retail innovation expert Lesley Chapman and an anonymous food stylist.

the panel predicted that, in the future, breakfast will be taken as seriously as dinner is today and even become the main meal of the day.

They also estimate that by 2031 we will regularly sit down to enjoy up to three courses at breakfast.

Researchers believe that Eastern spices such as the brightly coloured Sumac and hot chillies will also be used to add flavour to breakfast - with fiery breakfast cereal products on the shelves.

Wasn't seaweed a popular food for hundreds of years?  For example, sushi often has seaweed.  There are many nutritious foods.  The key is to eat different variety for health benefits because no single food has everything.

I've been eating seaweed for years....DULSE....I'm from Grand Manan NB....best dulse in the world....it can be addicting.

Can you eat it raw?

It's everwhere where I scuba dive. I mean forests of it. Looks delicious but I haven't taken a bite yet.

i assume so. i get seaweed salad all the time when i go out for sushi, and thats raw. but then again I'm sure theres hundreds of different types, and some probably can't be eaten raw. plus depending on where you scuba dive you might have to cook it to kill any bacteria
