firehouse subs meatball sub = greatness....the only sub i buy that i dont personally make...

heck i dont even eat subs, throw me a bagel with cream cheese, ham, and salami and im cool

I would call the regional managers and fill out a form if you have a concern about the food quality.  I mean they put a whole damn chicken on the subs in Canada.

I can do Jimmy John's, but that's about it.  We have a place called Pastrami Jacks here in town.  You can tell it's good just from the name.

blimpies is the best def. i miss that place from when i was in high school....but anyways subway doesnt make much off its $5 subs but it does make money. they make their own bread so they are making the bread for the sub for about 5cents and they get their meat for pretty much at cost from the food vendors so each sub is probably costing them max $2

Jasons Deli kicks ass and is well worth cash (my personal favorite)

Firehouse is also legit but a little overpriced but the quality/quantity is much greater.

Schlotzkys is pretty good as well, I know it isnt a "sub" per say but they still have a pretty high quality sandwich.

Quiznos is mediocre at best.

Subway gets the 2nd to last award (which is not a good thing)

The shit award goes to Jimmy Johns....this place is all mayo, lettuce, and the toughest bread you can imagine all for around 8 bucks.....NO THANKS!!!

Obviously your local deli would probably make the best sub for the best price but in this area, mom and pop delis are few and far between to say the least.

I just Jimmy Johns last night and the bread was very soft. but they are kind of primitive when it comes to their subs.....

Yeah man.  Primitive is the word.  What kind of sub place doesn't let you put pickles on your sub???  You have to buy a whole damn pickle?  That's the worst.

I like to think I'm in control of my sub.  Look the sub maker in the eye and tell the clown what to put on the sub.  I'm the boss. That's not even true at Jimmy John's because you can't even order pickles.

Has anyone ever tried Lenny's subs? They are a small chain based out of St Louis, but they give generous portions of meat and they have the best philly cheesesteaks i've ever had. Really high quality beef.

Yeah I have had them once, there is one close by my house in Houston....from what I remember it was pretty good but nothing super great. But there was a Fire House Subs across the street (which I really like) and a Schlotzkys right next door (also very good)...so I think they were just a little bit overshadowed

What about potbelly?  They make a good sub.   Just a bit small.  Those sliced pickles are good.  Jimmy Johns should take note.
