Also Sugar Dad....Went to Costco and bought some of their individually vaccum sealed salmon filets, (wild, not farm raisded), and had a very nice low cal dinner last night. Take the skinless filet, and set it on a bed of dill, lemon, and sliced leeks, all of which is on top of parchment paper. Fold the extra paper over and roll fold it several times, creating a lil tent. Season with sea salt and cracked pepper and another lil lemon circle. Put tent in oven at 350 for 20 minutes. Serve with a little rice of your choice of rice, salad, and a bottle of Pinot Noir.
Very good for the heart.

Sugar.....sure hope your wife is better.
The real key to gooood deer meat is gettin' the hide off quick. Also, try soakin' the meat in milk before any preparation. Seems to remove any wild taste.
Good luck, Kemosabe

Thanks ApacheM. Always look forward to your recipes and jokes. My buddies usually gut and skin right after the kill. Thanks for the milk trick and for the cares towards momma. Things are looking better for her.
Happy Holidays and best wishes my friend.

OK hear ya go....
Assuming you've got different part of deer frozen in the fridge, take some ground deer meat and brown it. Take some deer steaks (doesnt matter which part)...put in crock pot with a little water and some dales or worscheshcescheschire. The crock pot will will pull apart with a fork after hours on low...combine with ground meat.
Then from here go wild with beans, seasonings, and tomatos to make a very hearty and healthy and delicious chilli!!!!!!!
btw, I normally ground rajun cajun sausage with the deer meat...but prob not a good idea for your gal. Best of luck you and yours my freind.
