Any restaurant in Denver will make you a platter of appetizers.  The key is "room temperature." so timing can vary.

Tell them you need a server or two.  Build a rapport.

I have an old guy that lives two doors down that is a season ticket holder....He used to give me tickets to games he didn't want to attend, but his wife died last summer...I don't know if he gave them up upon her death....he sort of is a recluse now....I will check and PM you if I have any luck.

Catering is really not that expensive if you go through a restaurant.
 
And it's MUCH more impressive and MUCH better than we can come up with.
 
Although, we CAN come up with some shit but if it's the first time you have been in the kitchen, it may get messy.

The mushroom stuffed tomatoes will go anywhere.

Pigs-n-blankets will be the first to be wiped off a platter but they are kinda casual.

Things on sticks are always popular for cocktail parties.  The problem with things on sticks is the temperature though.  Supposed to be hot. 

The key is "room temperature" and I'm thinking....

The best app I have eaten in years... other than that tempura lobster at Chops last week was Boiler's fucking "cajun corndogs"
 
They took a half piece of Andouille sausage, deep fried it and put it on a plate with two killer dipping sauces.
