Alright, I started a thread about this in the GD forum and got some non-satisfactory responses lol. So I thought I would come here and see if you guys are a little more helpful. I just recently started taking One A Day Mens multivitamins....I asked if anyone has had experience taking these or centrum and if they boost your energy levels and actually have positive health benefits. Well I was basically told that Centrum and One A day vitamins are basically useless because they are synthetic and not natural (which seems reasonable). SO I mean do any of you guys take a NATURAL vitamin that mainly boost energy levels and might have a few other benefits as well? Was the info they gave me about synthetic shit correct? I am a total rookie in this department and am looking for something that actually does increase energy and it would be nice if it had some other health benefits as well. Let me know guys and appreciate the input ![]()

i stopped taking multi-vitamins cause i didnt feel any different and i still felt tired and drained by mid afternoon so i found a supplement called "emergen-C" thats a packet of powder u mix with a glass of water and its 1000mg of Vitamin-C plus 12 B-vitamins, 24 nutrients and electrolytes (no caffeine).. and its an energy booster, i take 1 in the AM, 1 at lunch and 1 late afternoon.
that coupled with a good breakfast, lots of water, small snacks of Peanuts and a Protein shake during the day plus some exercise and you'll feel more energized then just simply taking a Daily Vitamin or a "1 a day" . it tastes very good also. they have an assortment of flavors but i reccomend the Orange, the raspberry isnt good.. here's a link that u can get a sample.. you can pick it up in any drugstore and it runs like $18 bucks a box and the boxes have like 30+ packets in it..
hope that helps.. ![]()

I took a one a day for 7 years, but recently stopped taking them. One major thing I noticed is I am not shitting the same. I had perfect regular stools for 7 years. My diet really hasn't changed, so I think there is some benefit to taking them. I also felt better/stronger. IMO, to suggest a placebo effect over a 7 years time frame would be a stretch. I did start taking them again 2 days ago, so I will let you know if I see/feel any positive changes.
I did read the other thread in GD and did find the comment regarding synthetic vitamins interesting. A lot of pharmaceutical drugs are synthetic and they work well, especially some pain relievers. My ex-gf is a P.A., I'll ask her if she has any factual data on the subject.
