Until you get on a program or something, I would suggest going ahead and starting doing something first thing in the morning. Maybe do 2-3 sets of those twice a day along with the jumping jacks first thing in the morning. Cut out ALL sugar from your diet for couple weeks and monitor it down the road. Run up and down stairs or something every other day.
It's all mental and if you boil it down to physics, it really does not take that much time.
In terms of weight loss, I wouldn't look at the scale but look in the mirror. They say that you shouldn't lose more than 3 pounds a week anyway.
By the way, at your age, you could be ripped in three months if you wanted to.
