I use Pinny exclusively, but used to use SI at one time until I got cut to $5 a bet. There lines suck unless you take the u/dog against heavy public favorites and if you win with any consistency, they cut you right away..

I am not sure how these books are claiming they are "licensed" in Canada, regardless if they are native land, when the law clearly states you can not do single bets.

All of the books listed on this thread are good but it depends on what you are looking for.
I follow hockey but when it comes to betting I focus on soccer so I tend to use Bet365 a lot. They are great for soccer, the live service is as hansivonmueller says, you can watch the game from their site and they carry a lot of bets plus their Asian margin is less than most other UK books although still higher than the Chinese books. But I trust Bet 365 more than SBO.
Pinny is low juice and high limit so you don't get cut if they see you win often but it's harder to find easy ways to make money there in my opinion but I always track their lines at the very least. Pinny put a lot into their line management but less into their site and hardware and so it can feel a bit "cheap" - servers go down etc...
I disagree with hansi on Sports Interaction. It is a good book but I would use them more for Canadian sports than Euro sports. Their prices are no worse than most other books that don't sell on being low juice. I don't mind this because there is good value to be had at SI and they have more for betting football and hockey than the likes of bet365. Also their live betting is good and i like their new mobile site.
In relation to who you can trust? You can trust all. Bet 365 is regulated by the gambling Commision in the UK. Pinny has been going forever and everyone uses them. SI has been going a long time and Kahnawake is changing. I live near and go there to play poker so I follow developments there more closely as I have an interest in it staying open for business :-). Go to the Kahnawake Gaming Commision site and you will see that they have a lot of regulations and SI has a logo and certificate from some inspectors from Australia (heavily regulated) to say that SI is highly compliant.
I am not saying that Hansi is wrong about biker gangs and mafia but I don't think these books or Betfair etc... are anything to do with that.
So depend on what you want to bet but all are okay, just for different thing. I see more compliants about SI and Bet365 than Pinny but I think this has more to do with people trying to open more than one account or always chase steam.

You can't go wrong with Sports Interaction. Their odds can be shite for sure, but they offer some great bonuses and lots of betting options. Pinnacle is great as well, no doubt. Whatever you do - don't go to some no name company promising all kinds of free bonuses etc.

Caution with Betfair. I opened an account with them using Instadebit. After winning some money I tried to make a withdrawal. It turned out they had no method for withdrawing with Instadebit. Really pissed me off so I tried to withdraw all my money and close my account. I hand to send them my personal info ( ie D.L., banking info, utility bill). Turned into a real hassle, I just kept getting more and more pissed off. They had no Bank transfer info for N. American banks so I sent them what my bank gave me. The money did not get sent through and was sent back to Betfair. Because the money was sent back, they charged me fifty dollars. At this point, I just hate these pricks and will have nothing to do with them. After three months I got my money minus $50.00 for their fuck up.
This is the E-mail I sent them previously,
Just out of curiosity, I tried to withdraw funds from my account through
my payment method, which is Instadebit. Alas, this could not be done.
This is very frustrating considering other sportsbooks I've inquired
into do not have this problem with withdrawal methods. Needless to say,
no one wants to go through the hassle of withdrawing funds. Now I'm
told I can't receive a check as a means of withdrawal. I showed my bank
the transfer information you provide, and they could not understand the
info that is required, as the money has to go through two banks before
it gets to mine (a U.S. bank and a Canadian bank). Needless to say, my experience with Betfair has been disappointing to say the least, and I'm
thankful I've not deposited anymore money or recommended this
sportsbook to anyone. Your withdrawal methods are really, really poor
and receive a failing mark from me. I wish to close my account and open
an account with another sportsbook with a less restrictive withdrawal
system. It's not like I'm trying to money launder thousands of dollars
through this account. I'm just a recreational gambler and your
withdrawal methods are ridiculous for small amounts wagered. The
following is the information given to me by my bank, please use it to
transfer my account funds to my bank.
Anyways, the transfer fucked up, and cost me $50.00 and a lot of wasted time. After this, they sent me an email saying they credited my account with $10.00. Assholes.

Actually the law states roughly that you can't do single bets with books originating in Canada... overseas books like pinnacle and bet365 are technically legal.... hence why some mp's want to legalize single play bets in Canada

I am going through the same process, any tips to get this done with less issues?
I too have to go through two banks to receive the wire
(their form is almost impossible to fill out with the information provided)
Thanks,

For me sportsinteraction is the top book. Ive cashed out many many times without any issues. I also use the greek but their website is pretty crappy. Tried pinnacle and didn't like that site one bit. But I do know majority of people love pinny so they must be decent too.

Bet365 quality is right up there with Sports Interaction but they cut you a lot quicker. You can make 5 figures easy at SIA. Bet 365 cut you much sooner.

I've been following this board for a couple weeks now, and just decided to join. I am a small gambler (20 deposit)
From Canada and was also looking for the best sports book. I just made my first deposit at Bodog because one of my friends uses that site. I find it the best one from my research because depositing is only $20 and they offer free payouts via cheque (which I will probably be using).
Does everyone have a thing against Bodog as I see nobody recommends them.
