For those of you wondering about withdrawals initiated prior to Black Friday, I don't think you will ever receive your money. I made a withdrawal request on 5/8/11 for $ 1,500 and was told that I would receive my money via direct deposit (instantcheck) within 72 hours. Then I was told that it would take 10 business days to receive the funds. Afer 10 days had passed, then I was told that the withdrawal request had been returned to Beted because my bank account had been closed. In the meantime, I had made 28 deposits into my Beted account via instantcheck since my withdrawal request on 5/8/11 and all 28 transactions were deducted from the same bank account that Beted informed me had been "closed". Needless to say, my money is gone and I will never see that $ 1,500 deposit. Live and learn....the lesson was a hard one to learn, but I will not make that mistake again. Good luck to everyone involved in the Beted situation.....

Agree...So far all covers has done is talk talk talk, and make hollow promises. How hard is it to get a book to help with a bailout with a rollover? Other forums have done it no problem in the past. Yes it might cost covers a few precious dollars but they should have no problem doing it with the dirty money they have in their pockets from their ridiculous beted endorsing. Other forums are literally laughing at covers right now and its pretty frustrating that covers is unwilling to do anything to help.

I never liked BetEd or BetUS lines that I saw. It seems like I was always reading bad things about them being slow to pay. Did covers.com have that much influence for people to use these shitty books?

I always thought those ads for BetEd, showing the Ed guy that always said "Ed knows (name the sport)" were stupid. That alone made me shy away from them. Plus, the more ads I see for a book and the more endorsements by websites, the more I think they have plenty of money to spend for same ads, therefore they must be making a killing off their members. Just my opinion.

I'm sure that everyone at covers is tired of being bashed and accused of this, that, and the other. Whatever it is that you were going to post is needed. The mis-information or people being mis-guided would probably subside at bit if you would follow through with what you promised. Dixon...Its a shame but thats part of the game. Unless your betting sports at a casino, your money is not secure. Who is to say what offshore book the US goes after next...And it does not matter who has your money at this point the fact is, you wont see it. The US DOJ has stated they consisder this activity illegal, thus shutting down B.E. and Poker...B.E. is out of business even if they get your money back or have your money this cost them huge and their pay out days are done. I cannot think of a single course of events that could occur where it would seem possible for US players to get their $$$ back. unfortunately........I think the US DOJ has just begun...There will be a lot more upset people sooner than later.

1. The DOJ is not going to release any money ever. Because this money came from illegal activities, the DOJ has seized the money and clearly stated that it is subject to forfeiture.
2. beted's owners 100% knew what was going down. There WAS evidence that was presented to a grand jury (which makes it public info), before any warrantrs were issued.
3. It also seems very clear that because beted knew what was happening, they suckered as many last minute deposits as they could before that Monday...and offered those ridiculous bonuses to those who deposited thru one of their other processors (who used w-u, m-g and visa)...pretty crappy if you ask me...maybe one of the biggest acts of thievery ever committed by an offshore book.
I guess it leaves us at this point...We're not getting our money back from the DOJ. We can only hope that some book will offer us a bailout. I'm not even sure who RDG corp is but hopfully something can get done. Freedom PROMISED up and down that we'd get our money back so i really hope he is working on a bailout as we speak.

Just one week before 5/23 betEd decided to eliminate ewire transfer. If any one could truly understand the reason why this convenience key feature loved by many members was removed, then you will find many key answers to question whether betEd sense their business need a new strategy.

I believe officials from BetEd have been told to be quite and was advised by lawyers to close up shop for now until the dust clears. Until they have the 1st court date. As far as being bailed out I don't think another book would touch it with a twenty foot pole right now. I think we are gonna have to wait a long time to learn the outcome of this. I do find it hard to believe they didn't know what was happening before it it with all the 100% bonuses they where offering, and according to other sites that believe the knew also.
