Worst sports betting app in NV, by far.
William Hill is done after this fiasco. The best public relations firm out there couldn't rescue this dumpster fire. When they eventually get their stone age betting app back online it will be interesting to see how many winning wagers will have "disappeared". I wonder if they're going to offer their usual insulting $25 deposit for their usual incompetence. This company is done.

WHill is a sub division company of Bet365...with the legal expansion of sports betting apps in Noeth America, WH is the excess fat and B365 has focused all attention on their flagship book for global domination.
Love it or hate it, B365 is one of the top online books going.
Being an affiliate by them, I love them, been with them from day 1 as my main book, and don't plan on going anywhere.

Boyd is actually a good alternative to WH. If you're into in-play, then it's definitely an improvement. More responsive interface, more in-play options and bigger prop menu than WH. They tout themselves as having the biggest betting menu in Nevada, not sure how true that is but as far as props goes for like NBA and MLB etc they definitely offer more player and game props. The juice may not be the best but the trade off seems worth it. I'm actually looking into ditching WH and signing up with Boyd as a secondary option for my in-play needs.
Right now Circa is king

I like STN the best. Mgm can’t figure out the live betting glitches. Circa and South Point are about the same. William Hill says not ETA and they can locate my account as of an hour ago.

Pardon my ignorance, what is Boyd? Short abbreviated for something? Is this online available to Canadians? I'm embarrassed for asking, but sounds like you are pro these guys.
Anything you're willing to share will be appreciated

He's talking about Boyd Group, around here in Vegas it's casinos like Sam's Town, Cannery, Orleans, Suncoast, Aliante, California, and a few others. They're in other states too.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board is now involved by getting their enforcement and technology division on things. I don't think this would have happened if it weren't for the local media bringing attention to the matter after hearing from many disgruntled bettors. It's crystal clear that William Hill doesn't care.
When the system is restored at some point there will be a crazy run on all their outlets with people closing their accounts. William Hill is done in Nevada.

Thanks for the info...I will assume they are all brick and mortar books, I've never heard of any of them. But I'm not a Nevada frequent flyer so I wouldn't have a reason to know. Off strip locales? Reno and smaller town casinoettes? I'd probably enjoy the more quiet scene at those places.
Regardless, they don't seem interested to come to Canada any time soon.
Appreciate your feedback

What's up PB! Yup what OneADayJ said. Boyd Gaming is one of the largest casino operators based in Vegas. has been around since the 70's they cater to the locals off the Strip. They are famous for Sam's Town Casino, also later on bought out Coast Casinos and owns all their properties listed above. They also took over the famed Stardust Casino in the late 80's in it's twilight days when the mob were kicked out until it's closing in 2006..

Good stuff DK...I used to know Dutch Boyd in the early 2000s at the beginning of the poker boom. Maybe his family were part of this Boyd group.
It would definitely explain his arrogance and cockiness,,,something we both mutually respected about each other's games back in the day.

I didn't know this, WH is part of Bet365? I know Caesars Entertainment owns the American branch of WH, not too sure about the UK side tho.. B365 planning to come to America with brick and mortar stands to go with their online? I'm not too familiar with the online offshore books

Still down as of 8:58 Pacific time
WH used to be decent when I first started using them 10 years ago. Think they've been around in town since 2010 or 2011 can't quite remember.. they were basically the only game in town with the best interactive minute by minute realtime in-play wagering system. Other in-plays were basic and not as lively as theirs but now competition is getting better. Was easier to get a live bet down and not constantly getting reoffered a different line. They've fallen off since 2018 and has only got worse. Thought Caesars taking over would help them . how far they've fallen. This sounds like a eulogy and just short of saying... RIP

They're finished in Nevada no matter how this plays out. No one would ever put a penny in a William Hill account because they don't know if this will happen again and no one will make a bet in any of their sportsbooks because they don't know what will happen when their system goes down again.

Still down as of 10am pacific time. However I did get a long email from them with the usual bullshit apologizing.
Cant wait to pull my money out a run over to Aliante. Boyd also has 60 minute lines which is huge.
I'll keep a tiny amount in WH because I have a future bet with them (if hasn't vanished)

William Hill is actually taking bets again over the counter. That's shocking to me. I don't know what's worse. That the Nevada Gaming Commission is letting them take bets or that people are actually stupid enough to bet there.

I used to like CalNeva before they were bought out by Hill. Best odds on parlays, more small game lines than most spots. Hill's ingame was nice for a few years tho, other than espn I had a faster feed than them on every other televised game and would be able to get in a quickbet before they adjusted the line if I was on point. Also you could catch a mistake line from time to time and even if you dumped your whole account on it they would always pay without question. Now they're way ahead on everything and sh!ts suspended most of the time and a constant battle to get anything accepted. Probably gonna switch to Boyd as well. The only thing keeping me at the Hill was the ease of getting money on and off.

I just got off the phone with an agent at the Nevada Gaming Commission and they are doing their best to help in this matter. Their main concern is that when the system is eventually restored the graded and pending wagers that are in the system will be preserved. The Commission has been assured by William Hill that they will be.
William Hill is accepting wagers over the counter and cashing physical sports tickets. Personally I don't think they should be allowed to accept wagers until their app is fixed.
Currently the message displayed on the app is that they're undergoing their nightly maintenance period. It's 9:30 in the morning. That pretty much says it all about the credibility of William Hill.
