My feelings on this Covers website and BetEd

My account was swept up also, but guys please get a grip.

If you are betting with a local or even a bigger fish and the net swoops in who the hell would you be going to to complain. If I recommended the guy in my cafe than should I be held accountable ?

My feeling is that Covers has no responsibility to me or any other member to get their money back.

Just my 2 cents here, but I would strongly advise against any charge backs attempts. It's just not the right thing to do.

This is not your fault and you shouldn't be held accountable.

Like I stated before. If I introduce you to my friend Tony, who takes action, and months later he gets busted. Am I now responsible to make sure you get paid ?

The answer is hell no as this would be between you and the man looking at serious jail time for bookmaking

Your point is WEAK. Even in your poor example, yes, a good friend would be more concerned about making sure his friend was made whole than collecting his own balance. Perhaps you have a dearth of quality friends.

But a more accurate example would be a situation where you were getting a kickback from Tony based on an ongoing and current relationship where you had a vested interest in my losing money to Tony, in which you should have known he was having problems that you failed to disclose due to your own self interest.

All the while acting as though you were some protector of my best interest.

Sounds just a bit more culpable, no??

To me the right example would go something like this:

A guy runs a book and he tells me, I'll give you a finders fee to get clients. I know the guy is well funded and pays. So I find some people and collect a fee.On Super Bowl Sunday, the cops raids the guys office and takes all his cash. Do you think I'm going to pay the friends I hooked up? I don't think so.

I don't know why I would want to defend Covers. They deleted two of my posts here, making query about Bookmakers. I can't even remember much about them they were so mundane. But apparently they were too controversial for this forum....at this this particular point in time.

Here is how I accept this fate.  It's only money

Imagine the horror the people of the south and the midwest are dealing with. Houses destroyed, life savings gone in a flash and worse of all losing family members before you had a chance to say goodbye.

Count your blessings and hug your family.

Once again, it's only money and that can be replaced.
