What is really going on at 5 Dimes? I was looking to get set up to play there, but then I read some very disturbing stuff in various Covers forums, regarding; limits being cut to ridiculous amounts as soon as a player shows they are even slightly capable of winning, complaints about "Tony" and his treatment of players, reviews in the poker forum about the poker room (especially in regards to suspicions about the bad beat jackpot), etc.. I've also read some good reviews, so I'm more confused than ever about this place.
I'd like to ask fellow Covers' members, what is really happening at 5 Dimes? Is it a legitimate sportsbook/poker room that treats players properly, or is it a place that one should avoid? Thanks in advance for your replies!

i love how so many people on here DOWNGRADE 5dimes. ive been there for 3plus years so far and have NEVER had a problem. NEVER have i been slow paid. everything was always within 3 days and WU and MG are always next day. they have mirror sites just in case their main site is busy. "at the end of the day" the only thing that matters is THEY PAY quickly and DO NOT STIFF people. so u can listen to these clowns if u want to, but since pinnacle was shut down, there is NOT a better book out there.

I've been with 5dimes since the close of Pinnacle as well. Absolute nothing buy positive things to say. Servers were slow this season, but I used mirror sites with success. My payouts always carried out properly and in a timely fashion, ranging from 3-9 business days from when I initiate a withdrawal. I am truly thankful they exist.

True it's all true about 5dimes me, my father in law and 4 friends have all had horrible experiences with 5dimes!! We no longer have accts there! And a couple of my buddies were huge players. They started winning and the limits started coming down, and they believed that as soon as they made a large wager the line would always change against them. They showed me this where my line on some of the games stayed the same. Thats insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for those people in the usa that want to bet big, well im not sure why u would want to have that much money in just one account anyway u should be spreading out ur action or having a local bookie or both.
since pinnacle closed down to us players in 2007 and bet jamaica last year, this might be truly ur only reliable option for online betting in the usa.

They feel they have gotten so big that they DO NOT CARE HOW THEY TREAT THE CUSTOMER...OLD OR NEW
They now have garbage front men in customer service that mock you for letting them know of an issue, and IN MANY CASES IT IS AN ISSUE that will only HURT 5 DIMES!
I just got off the phone with Rommel and I informed him about a 2k payout check I received, and then when I went to BANK OF AMERICA to deposit, they looked at me and said Mr P------ we do not mean to be rude to you as you and your family are very food customers....(my wife an I have over 487K a year in our employment direct deposited into BAM), but this check looks fraud and is requiring an INTERNATIONAL hold of 4-6 weeks as the routing # is digit short and this canadian bank is not affiliated with any true US Bank
So a 14 year customer I call 5D and try to explain to many of the front level employees who are nothing but one month employees who quit or get fired...and Mario says....well maybe there is a problem with your bank...your bank is not a good bank try another one

The facts about international checks is this......... no check no matter what country it comes from should take no more than 5 business days to clear. I have a friend that is a manager of a bank and she told me that most international checks from Canada, Western Europe and some Asian countries really only need three days to clear. As long as the chaeck is drawn on a large international bank getting it to clear takes 24 hours. The reason they hold the check is to make money on your money before they give it to you.
