I don't know if I'm wrong.  I'm drunk.  Maybe, but I dont think so.  Let me explain.  I logged on earlier and asked for western union depositing info.  I was given a name and the city state. Which was blah blah from San Jose, Costa Rica.  I sent to that exact name and city.  I got home, got one live chat, and told them my info.  Then I was informed that they were no longer taking deposits to that name.  I then had to call in to WU and change the name and destination.  Which is fine, but I at least wanted SOMETHING for my troubles.   Oh no.  These douches wont give anything.  Now my chat.  Again, let me know if I am wrong here.

Good luck, but you aint getting shit out of this squabble.  Not with the 5Dimes manager.

Not from Tony, he's one of the stingiest dudes around in the offshore business.

And the name wasn't incorrect in all likely hood.  This has happened to me.  Basically they have name's on file...they allow that receiver to "Pick-up" a certain amount of transactions per day or week.

The name you were given was likely also given to a few others...by the time you had got back on chat the allotted transactions were probably burned through.

As much of an inconvenience as it is...it's how they work in order to get around our stingy US Laws.

And in any sense......

I understand the frustration behind it, pain in the ass really...especially when Western Union begins asking questions.  But if you got the name hours ahead of time, they likely just assumed you didn't end up depositing.  Most names are good for 24hrs...so if you don't go right away...always check in with them to confirm the name is still good.  I learned the hard way, now so have you.  But lesson learned 


As for the freeplay, like I said...wont happen.  Not with that management team.  Best book around for a reason, they set their lines...give plenty of props and options.  Take your money...payout your money...and don't deal with the everyday bullshit in between.

I'm very familiar with this type of issue. It's probably happened 6-7 times over the years. So I know, there was only a MINOR issue with the name, because they let you change it over the phone.

Had the name been completely wrong, you woulda hadda go back to the store, explain yourself, and have them fix it. That is a pain in the ass, depending on how well you know the employees and have far away the store is.

When it has been proven that they gave me the completely wrong name and I hadda go back to the store, they always give me something like  $25 free play for my troubles, but it's not worth it for all the trouble.

I recently switched back to 5 dimes as my main book, and this happened to me last month with a moneygram. I had to go back to the store the next day because it was after hours. Pain in the ass, but they gave me a $25 free play for it. Good luck getting ahold of Tony. I've tried to talk to him 4 times about an issue, and he's always too busy.

why dont you just go to walmart and get one of those green dot debit cards. I think thats what there called. you deposit money onto the card and use that.

  Buy this man a cigar.....  been using green dot to deposit, and WU to withdraw.  Haven't had a single problem since.   FUCK THE MAN

5dimes managers are a bunch of mafia. You dont want to argue with them or they close your account. 

 

I Just went to Wal-Mart and bought one of these cards and activated it when i got home and tried to deposit into 5dimes but it didnt work... any ideas?

It never seems to end . No matter the Book. I'ts eneough to make a cat laugh. It we hopefuly get legalized , taxed , regulated , soon and we can all shut that cat up once and for all.
