At this time, all inmates at Colorado State Penitentiary are under Administrative Segregation (AdSeg) also known as Solitary Confinement. AdSeg inmates are all held in solitary cells on 23 hour lockdown during their entire stay at CSP. However, CSP will also begin housing a small number of medium security inmates in 2012.
CSP was recently the focus on National Geographic Explorer "The human cost of Solitary Confinement".[2]
This is what I'm hoping for. Nothing worse.

Slovak you shouldn't own a gun. Nothing good can come from it.
I'll bet this guy disagrees.
A Lancaster city store clerk pulled a gun of his own and fired at a pair of armed robbers early Saturday morning, police reported.
One robber, 30-year-old Rodney Green, was shot in the chest and is receiving treatment at area hospitals, according to officials.
He underwent life-saving surgeries and is scheduled for further procedures, officials said.
The other man fled on foot and is being sought this morning. Police didn't immediately release a description of the man.
Two armed men in masks entered Andromeda Grocery Store at 158 S. Queen St. at 12:30 a.m. and demanded money, police reported.
During the course of the robbery, the store clerk, a man in his 30s, pulled a gun and fired, police said. Officials said that the clerk was in legal possession of the gun.
The clerk's name wasn't released.

Didnt his brain just evolve differently from the rest of us? it's just different. Just as the chemical reactions are different for homosexuals, which is acceptable to most atheists, so it should be for rapists and serial killers and child molesters. They're all OK
_______________
Poor analogy. Homosexuality doesn't threaten my safety per se. And yeah, I believe psychopaths are wired differently and I don't think there is anything they or anyone else can do about it to fix it. But that doesn't mean they should be allowed to just hang out and continue to kill people.

Interested to hear ideas on how incidents like a couple of days ago can be reduced? Can a solution be found through healthy debate which would satisfy both pro and anti gun supporters?
_____________
Look at Columbine. Eric Harris was a psychopath. He was going to go off no matter what. Dylan Kleibold suffered from depression and other ailments and he was an easy target for Harris. You can't cure a psychopath, but you can try to identify troubled people that possibly can be treated.

i am a physician but not a psychiatrist. i believe the suspect had a full psychotic break due to schizophrenia . he was a ph d candidate working in neuro science. he obviously is extremely intelligent but i feel that there were signs leading up to this . his own mother knew right away that her son may have been involved. he had recently voluntarily withdrawn from his school. he was the correct age for someone experiencing psychosis for the first time. i believe his mother is a mental health worker . i would like to know why she feared her son was involved . could this have been prevented?

Maybe the US needs better laws regarding gun ownership.
There are about as many guns in America as there are people. If a criminal really wants a gun, he is going to get a gun regardless of what the law says. The only difference is whether or not law-abiding citizens are allowed the right to defend themselves.

Why do they keep calling an AR-15 an assault rifle? It is not an assault rifle. It is a fucking semi auto. An assault rifle is full auto with 3 selections. 1 - full spray, 2, 3 round burst and 3, semi auto. In order to have possession of an ässault rifle" you must apply for a license w/ATF and be registered with ATF. The process takes months and pretty close to impossible for regular civilians.
Another thought. 40% of American s own a registered firearm in the US. If guns were pulled away from them it would be the biggest black market for weapons since the 1st pot plant found a zip lock bag.

Search, I have completely abandoned all hope that the media will ever know what the hell that are talking about when it comes to firearms.
The worst though are the liberal politicians. My favorite was when one of them made the argument that pistol grips on rifles and shotguns are made so shooters can fire them from the hip which makes the gun more deadly.

Before Colt produced the AR15 it was a select fire assault rifle, but now it is just a semi-automatic. Not doubt the media wants to incite emotion and describe the weaponry as severe as possible. As if the situation wasn't horrible enough without embellishment.

My heart bleeds for the victims like the rest of us but I found humor in this punks ability to prepare so thoroughly with explosives. His firearm gear was a laugher. Media has the nerve to continue to label him as 'highly' intelligent because of high honor at douchebag Cal Riverside -. BFD.
Fact is is that he is stupid and crazy. The entire gun plan blew up in his face Ramming a drum clip through an AR-15?
4 months of preparation. Complete fuckup. I'm cheerful the cops got him alive. Now the hell really starts buddy - you have no idea.

Last night Bill O’Reilly went on some rant about how the feds monitor who gets flying licenses, but anyone can walk into a gun store and buy an AK-47 or a bazooka and the feds don’t know about it.
If anyone knows one of these magical gun stores where one can legally buy an AK-47 or a bazooka please shoot me a PM.
I already have a pretty nice arsenal, but a rocket propelled anti-tank weapon would really be quite the conversation piece.

From the reports I’ve read it looks like the kid used a cheap Asian knockoff of a Beta C-mag.
Now, the original Beta C-mag isn’t very reliable itself so I can only imagine how bad the cheap knockoffs are.
Good thing the dumbass didn’t pony up the money for a Surefire 100 round mag otherwise the body count would probably be at least double what it was.
He might have known a thing or two about explosives, but thankfully he didn’t know shit about firearms.

...The bomb making was more labor intensive than sophistication. Basic, a circut board and your home depot conducter wires and ignition. Hell of it is that placed so many of them they had to be sure x 5 and water down the kitchen grade school mother board in the kitchen. Caution critical but routine for a bomb unit.
