Government needs to outlaw ammo as they are today and only allow sale of safety bullets. Safety bullets should be designed with a safety that only allows discharge when cooler than a preset temperature that only allows a shot a minute.
You might as well ask the government to wipe out racism, world hunger, and war while you’re at it.

Get with the times losers - no one wants guns - and eventually, there will be none. It might take 10 years but it will happen because the current generation just does not agree with you. The young do not want guns - they do not want this crap!
There are over 300,000,000 guns in America and many gun owners have a “come and take it” attitude.I would love to hear how you propose the government goes about not only banning guns, but enforcing the ban as well.

I think it's a silly thing that somehow guns are being blamed by some people. Some Fing deranged guy goes into a school wanting to kill a class? If you want to politicize it let's be thankful he had guns and didn't have to resort to other means like make a bomb or set fire to the school killing more people.
I know the argument is ridiculous either way as nothing will ever change without considerable bloodshed so it is what it is; I say just be happy you can have a gun if you want to and should someone come towards your family looking to do harm you can defend yourself.

This is a terrible thing beyond comprehension.

So we should do nothing cause there are 300,000,000 guns - great attitude. You know you're kind are all vitriolic - imagine it was ur daughter or son - maybe ur mum or dad. Do u care? U should - it takes change to make these things right - u on the other hand would sit and let it all happen again. Myself and the majority of the rest of the world do not support this ridiculous argument - you need to recognise that ur time has past - the youth of today do not want this!! So why not have change for the better of the future....

The president of the NRA had the nerve to say, "these children could have protected themselves if they had the right of the 2nd Amendment".....
What a clown. They should fire him for this statement.
Use today, to make a statement on gun control. Let alone make a statement that k-4th graders would be protected if they can carry guns????
What a POS that guy is. These kids run around shooting everyone with NERF toy guns laughing thinking its funny, the last thing they need are children with guns.
The gun debate will go on forever. Cases are made for both sides good and bad.
I think its wrong for anybody to be able to carry a gun. I dont want to know that some drunk idiot at the bar can have a gun in his pocket and pull it out when he is blacked out and not even realize what he is doing.
But, that guy who posted in here in Mississippi was right, knowing that any person at any time could have a gun on them would stop things like this from happening.
Fact is people are sick. The world is sick. Depression is ruining the world. Things are only going to get worse
Pretty sure he didn't say anything about children carrying weapons, but that this disaster could have been addressed by an armed administrator or guard.
Awful that gun control zealots trying to capitalize on this tragedy.

the bushmaster was basically a military grade weapon, why would the mom need that kind of fire power
It never ceases to amaze me how ignorant a lot of people are when it comes to firearms.
The Bushmaster (which I assume was an AR-15) was banned during the last Assault Weapons ban while firearms like the Mini-14 were not banned.Functionally the guns are almost identical, but because the AR-15 had “evil features” it got banned while the Mini-14 got a pass because it looked more like a hunting rifle. As always, it’s not about facts with anti-2A people. It’s all about ignorance and their feelings.
You’re the same type of person that cried for pistol grips on rifles to get banned because “pistol grips are designed to allow people to fire a gun from the hip and firing a gun from the hip makes a gun more deadly.”

Just as I expected. You can’t argue faced on facts so you just throw out a bunch of generic emotional comments.
Come on, genius. You said “eventually, there will be none. It might take 10 years but it will happen.”Let’s hear how it will happen. So once again:

This has got to be the most heartbreaking incident I have seen in years. I can't even begin to imagine what the families of these poor innocent victims must be going through especially when young children's lives are taken away in this manner. My heart goes out to all of them. There has got to be stricter security at these schools. I pray that God gives each and every one of them the strength to go on. They will never be forgotten, especially those teachers that gave their lives in order to protect the children. My sincere sympathies to their families. May they rest in peace.

Went to the mall today and saw many 6-7 year olds. They are on Christmas break. All I could think about was an AR-15 spraying bullets.
I went to the mall today as well, but wasn’t thinking about that.Of course I carry a 9mm and a .380 in addition to having taken numerous firearm training courses so maybe that had something to do with my peace of mind.

If some nut started shooting up the place I would rather stand a fighting chance than be one of those helpless people that cowers in fear waiting for my turn to be executed.
But hey, that’s just me.To each his own.

I understand.
If you live somewhere that you don't feel safe enough to leave your home without carrying 2 guns to put you at ease, then by all means you should.

It’s not that I need guns to put me at ease. It’s that I take my protection and my family’s protection seriously.I don’t think I could live with myself if someone in my family was killed and I could have prevented it, but didn’t.But like I said, that’s just me.

My bad.......I should have said " Piece of mind "...like stated in post #115. To me it's the same thing.
Since you enjoy posting [ What ifs ]........
What if you were out with your family and were mugged ?
You go for your gun but by the time you get the saftey off, he panics and shoots wildly.
Since he's just a thug without the training that you had, the bullets that missed you hit your family.
Choosing your "protection" over a couple of hundred bucks just cost you your families lives.
I know that senerio is unlikely and far fetched but no more than some that you come up with.
I'm not gonna get into a long pointless back and forth about this with you because neither of us will change our views on this subject.
My theory on how to avoid anymore shootings in schools without the tax payer paying an extra dime for protection.......
Close all the donut shops and only sell them at schools. I've never heard of a Tim Hortons getting robbed.

I didn’t say my peace of mind was the result of having a gun.I said I had peace of mind while shopping at the mall and that me being prepared (carrying a gun and having training) might have had something to do with that.
If my family and I were being mugged by a guy that had a gun on us I would give him what he wanted.
Carrying a gun doesn’t mean you’re Dirty Harry. It’s a big responsibility and knowing when to draw is just as important as knowing when NOT to draw.

that statement 'people kill people, guns dint kill people' is the biggest load of garbage I've here read
Only the most stupid morons would ever say such crap and the rest of us are looking at you saying 'ur friggin crazy'.
Get with the times losers - no one wants guns - and eventually, there will be none. It might take 10 years but it will happen because the current generation just does not agree with you. The young do not want guns - they do not want this crap!
So why not just let the future of ur country decide what is right or wrong.....u have had ur time and look at what has happened....
You have just proved to me and allot of others on here that you are the biggest idiot on this board. No-one wants guns??? So I guess you think its a good idea to start a civil war by trying to take away peoples guns and rights. Its a fact, look it up, guns save more lives than end them...thats a fact.
Its estimated that 47% of households have guns. And with the average of 2 guns per household (which is very low...you can multiply that by 8 in the south.) Around 56 million Americans own guns...around 300 million guns.
And for a kicker....since so many people want to get rid of guns, there are about 3-4 milliion guns purchased each year.
Take away the Americans right to bear arms....kiss this country good-bye...just like your brain you super star of an idiot.

Oh wait...Im sorry....you don't care about what goes on in the USA...cause you are not from here....so you are bound by what ever government tells you what to do or say or how to act...god bless you man...You are totally clueless and I forgive you.

The mall shooting that happened in Oregon the other day could have been allot worse.
The shooter was stopped by an armed citizen who had a permit to carry. He saved his life, the girl he was with and her baby. Not including all the other innocent families in the mall.
So right there is an example of a gun saving lives. The murderer could have cleaned house if it wasn't for this gun carrying citizen.
Its called free will you super star idiot. God gave man free will and its our choice to use it or abuse it.
