You can follow his journey at 48 Hour Bet, which is being updated with his process in real-time. He’s about 24-hours in and apparently he’s “killing it” according to our source on his team. He’s about 170 miles into the 240 mile bike trek.

Watched the video what a joke. I don't think the van should be the wind breaker for him.

Why is it a joke?  The wager stipulates what is and is not allowed. Drafting is allowed

Since the story was published yesterday, Bilzerian upped the ante on the $600,000 bet by making a side bet with Rick Salomon. He’s offering him his G4 Gulfstream jet for $250,000. That’s a grand total of $850,000 if he completes the ride.

As stated, it was suppose to be from LA to Vegas. Looking at this set up and the video any bloke could complete this. It is a total joke

Perkins said he didn't have a problem with it. Of course we'd all do the same if it wasn't prohibited for the bet and it wasn't.

Clearly the bet was changed.

Yes he is starting in Vegas. No mention as to why they switched starting points.

The reason is likely that the reverse would of killed him and at this point with all the news/media around it, it's in their best interest not to have Dan die en route (and would prolly prefer him to make it in time too.)  going LV to LA will be much easier that is for sure.  

still, hilarious to watch this play out.

"Coasting" behind a van on a bike is a lot different than actually  "pedaling" uphill...... 
80% of this guy's "trek" was just coasting downhill. I stand by my original statement.....

 I bet I can get some backers, and "redo" this wager. I'll give him until March 31st of 2017, no effin' way he makes this......

At the beginning of this thread there was no mention of drafting being allowed. What a bunch of czite. On youtube there are videos of guys drafting behind semis going 65 mph and not having to pedal. As a rider since 1990 I feel disgusted that I wasted any time on this when I could be outside riding.

There was a stipulation though in the original Instagram post he made that he couldnt get assistance from motorized vehicles.  I think the interpretation of that was to say he couldnt be pulled or pushed by one or have a motor on the bike.

Just curious for any riders out there: any sources to check out stats on draft/wind resistance impact on biking? kinda curious to see the stats on how much it reduces resistance etc.

Drafting in the "peloton" behind other riders, it is 30%.  Behind a van, it must be much closer to 50% if not more.
