The title of this thread is your friend owes your bookie a lot of money. Sounds like you owe the bookie a lot of money and borrowed money from your friend to pay the bookie and didn't pay your friend back so he ratted you out and told the bookie where you live? You both are pricks in this situation. Your friend is a prick for giving the bookie your info unless somehow you were betting thru him and his ass was on the line then you are totally in the wrong and i would do the same if you didnt give me realistic plan of how you were going to fix this problem.
How much do you owe?
Where do you live?
If you are in the USA and don't live in the ghetto you will be fine if you keep a line of communication open with the book and set up a payment plan. Get a second job and make an effort to knock off some of your debt. If you live in the ghetto the bookie may be a loose cannon idiot and do something stupid like assault you. If the bookie comes to where you live its trespassing. Books are usually smart enough not to do anything illegal that could jeopardize their operation. So reach down and make sure you dont have a vag and your balls still exist and man up. Worst thing books usually will do is call up your job or family and harass you. Not much else they can do and getting stiffed is part of the business. If the guy doesnt have any money to pay what can you do? As a former book the only thing you can do is be understanding that he is in a bind and set up a payment plan of a few hundred here and there even if it takes two years. I wouldnt worry about getting beat up or your legs broken if you live anywhere decent. If you live in mexico you'll probably get murdered though. Best of luck....
