You may as well cooperate just don't go in reeking of marijuana or they might make your life more difficult. Maybe let a lawyer know whats going on in case some bs happens then you sue the eff out of them.

I got accused of a crime I didn't do years ago. Don't ignore the cops...they get really mad and it makes things worse. I got a lawyer, and went to the station to talk to the detectives. Lawyer told me something interesting. If you go to the station voluntarily without being arrested, they can record and listen to you in their interrogation room talking to your family, lawyer, etc...so if you do decide to go to the station, if the cops leave the room...remember they are listening. They figured out pretty quick I was innocent, but 2 things I would advise from my experience.
1. Hire a good lawyer (just pay the money...you'll be happy you did). 2. Cooperate with the Cops. They can make your life very difficult if you don't...even if you're innocent.
Sucks to be in that situation...I've been there. Good Luck

Never, ever speak with the police about anything. They are not there to help you and will use anything and everything they can against you, even if you are innocent. They have no problem with railroading innocent people into prison.
This sounds like paranoia, but it's true. Heed this advice.
