Accussed of a crime help!

I was called by a detective today asking me to come in for an interview.
didnt really explain anything but just to come and meet him at the police station and that if i don't i will be arrested.
the incident of of this was a couple months back around june or august i forgot and this is the first time im getting a call.
the town he wants me to meet with him is 2 hours away,i told him ill call him back tommorow to see give him an exact date and time i can meet him but no later than friday he says he will not be waiting weeks to meet with me. i recently just got a job and can and wont take any days off due to the 90 day probation

What should i do ?
i dont have money for a lawyer
Should i just go and meet him ?
If i don't go what will happen ? will i get arrest for not meeting with him?

This is a easy one.

Keep your FN Shut.

Let them arrest you and still keep your FM Shut!

Then, and only then, you can talk to your court appointed lawyer.

Do not go meet with him without an attorney-period-
For that matter- do not do anything without consulting with an attorney....

They need probable cause to arrest you.  Have a lawyer call and ask them what is the problem.  DO NOT proceed without speaking with a lawyer.  

Also. if you are just a witness to a crime, you don't have to cooperate.  Make the cops do their own job.

If you DO go for the interview, be prepared to have the interview recorded  with a video camera. They WILL videotape your interview.

What crime are you accused off? 

What did you do?

Do YOU think you did anything wrong?

No attorney? Get a loan. Sounds fishy as hell…but your lack of details in such a "urgent matter" are laughable. GL

Don't go and don't say a word.  Even if you meet him the smart thing is say nothing so what's the point of going?  Make the cops do their job and come get you.  By you going it will only get you in bigger trouble.

 I wouldn't drive 2 hours because some guy called me out of the blue & threatened to arrest me for something I know nothing about. Tell him if it's that important he can drive out to your town & meet with you there.

 I think it's bullshiit that you should have to worry about paying for an atty because some clown calls you up about something you may know nothing about..........but wtf.
