    "when every time they called …I was there. Every time someone died….I was there. Every time they were going through one of the worst moments in their lives…I was there. "

    You mean you were doing your job?

    OK. Sweet. I do my job too. In fact, If I

    don't do my job, aka NOT BE THERE, I will not have that job. I will not have my nice pay. My nice benefits. My nice vacation pay. My nice paid holidays. Got it?

    Now you want credit for going where the dispatcher tells you to go?

    Some of these cops act like theyre volunteering .

    Also gotta love when a gang member is killed by another gang member and the black community is attacked for not marching.

    Gang members aren't being paid to protect the community

    When a gang member kills someone, well goddamnit , he was a gang member. That's what they do.

    Cops are not supposed to kill unarmed people in the community.

    Last year 108 unarmed black men were killed by police.

    All justified right? Please give me a break. Please.

    https://www.instagram.com/tnorman23/?hl=en

    That is a police hero. That is how you make your community a better place. Don't give me that bullshi* about these cops care about their community. They just want to collect a check. I know many cops. A lot of them did it for the money. Suffolk, Long Island. Big Money. I know plenty.

    This guy is a hero. He takes time, energy, love, food, snacks, water guns, and gives them to his community. They are VERY VERY VERY rare people. Bless you Officer Norman.

    The Officer who wrote the article was damn near spit on in his own neighborhood. Hated. They wanted him dead.

    Officer Norman is loved, and treated like a family member.

    Do you think Officer Norman would be hated if he patrolled where the officer who wrote this article patrolled?

    ABSOLUTELY NOT.

    Again,  give me a break with this nonsense.

    Beautiful Sosa.

    I remember we used to go at it like UFC fighters on this site. That's never gonna happen again after a post like this.

    Also when people say Black Lives Matter

    and White People say All Lives Matter.

    That's fine and dandy.

    But that's like my house being on fire, and I say MY HOUSE MATTERS, and you say ALL HOUSES MATTER, that's correct, but yours isn't on fire right now.

    Im white for the record, like you see in my pic.  If you cant see that unarmed black men are being killed at an alarming rate, then I don't know what to tell ya. You must hate blacks or have a family member as an officer, really no other way around it.

    I know do as your told and you wont have an issue. People that have complied have been killed.

Please.

    OK. Sweet. I do my job too. In fact, If I

    don't do my job, aka NOT BE THERE, I will not have that job. I will not have my nice pay. My nice benefits. My nice vacation pay. My nice paid holidays. Got it?

    Im white for the record, like you see in my pic.  If you cant see that unarmed black men are being killed at an alarming rate, then I don't know what to tell ya. You must hate blacks or have a family member as an officer, really no other way around it.

    I know do as your told and you wont have an issue. People that have complied have been killed.

    Thanks for that.

    All Lives...You are right but I can't even address it. It is so tiresome.

    Ya know what's wild Sosa?

    Remember when the LA 'riots' occurred for the Rodney King BEATING? Not the King shooting! Not the King murder! But the beating!

    And today, that same beating would be JUSTIFIED! Because if you watch the tape King is trying to get to his feet and on top of that he was high! The majority of people today would say the billy club usage was perfectly normal! Even by nearly a half dozen cops!

    But today, cops wouldn't even take out the billy club! The gun immediately comes out! And if you make a move that even hints at a threat? BOOM!

    King would be obliterated today for being high and disobeying cops orders. Even unarmed.

    And again, those 'riots' were because the beating was caught on tape! BLM protests are child's play in comparison, even Ferguson. And BLM is protesting almost solely death and murder. Beating and arrests simply are not on the radar because death dominates the cause.

    Look at how this issue has evolved or more precisely devolved.

    And this is .... progress!?!! And these protests are unjustified when cast in that light?

    Scal. That's one of my biggest pet peeves. Why do these officers carry tasers? Why do they carry batons? For what? Are they that frightened by the black man that they immediately feel threatened when he so much as moves a muscle?

    1991- Rodney King is beaten silly by 4 cops.

    High, drunk, 4 cops? What is this a gang initiation?

    2015-  108 unarmed black men killed by police, that WISH they were given the Rodney King treatment.

    In 1991 im sure black people thought things would be better come 2016. But in 2016 people are wishing they got the Rodney King treatment.

     Progress?  Yea, if you take out the P and replace the O with an E.

    OK. Sweet. I do my job too. In fact, If I

    You are a perfect example of someone taking what was an enlightened, well thought out, perfectly expressed piece, and using one sentence to extract from a larger statement, and using that sentence to manipulate what the author was expressing.

    If your objective was to make this officer look bad, you failed miserably.

    It should be painfully ovbvious that the officer who wrote the piece was not looking for credit for doing his job. At least it is obvious to anyone who read the entire letter without prejudging him. Someone who tells the truth about the current state of America is so quickly turned on by those who ignorantly disagree with him.

    Nice to see Scal jump on and congratulate you on a job well done

    You know some cops personally. This gives you the right to judge all cops???
    What's the difference between the white guy who has a bad experience with a black man and then decides he hates all n+gg@rs, and you, who has known some cops and then decides that all cops are evil?

    Judging a man by the uniform he wears is no different than judging a man by the color of his skin.
    Both are born of ignorance.

    Interestingly enough, blacks tend to hate cops (judging a man by his uniform) because they feel the cops hate them because of their skin color.

     This is why I don't discuss these issues more frequently.

    Where the !$%^ did I say all cops are evil? Did you even read my response? A good portion of my first post was giving praise to one of the finest officers in the United States.

    A quick excerpt from my first post also this is his instagram

    Does that sound like someone who thinks all cops are evil?
    Some cops are amazing. They are rare.

    Police officers were not born with uniforms. It's just a job
    They are human beings first, then police officers.
    Some Police officers are ignorant because of the way they treat black people. the ignorance is not caused by the uniforms.
    Blacks do not like police officers because of the uniforms they wear. they hate them because of what they represent(Social injustice and oppression)
    It goes all the way back to slavery (Fugitive Slave Act, bounty hunters, ..etc)

    It's just not written anymore in the US constitution anymore but some police officers are still acting with impunity when it comes to minorities

    Blacks are not ignorant because they don't trust police officers.

    what happened to Scott,Sterling ,Castille ..etc have been going on for a long time
    Technology (cell phone recording)  has made it easier to expose the racist cops or those who hide behind their badges to murder black people
    The Blue Wall of Silence does not help either because the good cops remain silent

    Jay Stalien just echoed some right-wing talking points
    Blacks kill more blacks . Whites also kill more whites according to Homicide data
    The fact that black victims are most often killed by other blacks does not justify racist policing and police brutality
    Police officer is not judge, jury and executioner.
    Unwarranted shooting/violence by police officers is the problem.
    Black people in Chicago have denounced the violence, marched in the streets, pleaded with the authorities for help
    what was done ?

    Right-wing hypocrites

    According to Rudy "I've saved more blacks than Black Lives Matter" Guiliani

    <QUOTE>

    Black parents need to teach children to be respectful to the police
    “There’s too much violence in the black community,” Giuliani said. “If you want to deal with this on the black side, you’ve got to teach your children to be respectful to the police, and you’ve got to teach your children that the real danger to them is not the police, the real danger to them 99 out of 100 times … are other black kids who are going to kill them. That’s the way they’re going to die.”

    <UNQUOTE>

    As the Washington Post notes, this is not the first time Giuliani has stated such views, claiming in a 2014 interview on NBC’s Meet the Press that “93 percent of blacks in America are killed by other blacks.”

    Upon fact-checking the claim, the Washington Post ruled that the statistic used lacked significant context, saying that the statement was misleading.

    Giuliani acknowledged Sunday that “whites have to realize that African-American men have a fear, and boys have a fear, of being confronted by the police because of some of these incidents,” but when CBS’ John Dickerson pointed out that those “messages seem to conflict with one another,” the former mayor swiftly countered, Politico notes.

    Come on Rudy, your daughter was caught shoplifting and let go because she is your daughter. You need to stop lecturing black parents
    https://nypost.com/2010/08/04/rudy-giulianis-daughter-arrested-for-shoplifting/

    When you were mayor of New york City, Amadou Diallo,Patrick Dorismond were killed by NY City Police officers.  In one of the disgraceful acts of his mayoralty, Mr. Giuliani smeared Patrick Dorismond's  reputation and released part of his juvenile police record, as if to suggest that he deserved to be murdered.

    Come on Rand Paul, Black Lives matter does not mean other lives do not matter
    what you failed to understand is Black Lives Matter is about an extremely long history of unfortunate government practices that particularly affect Black people and Black families. It's about injustices that are specifically racial in character (Sterling,Castille would still be alive if they were whites).
    That does not mean all lives don't matter.
    If your doctor tells you to start exercising, does that mean you need to stop eating healthy food

    By the way Rand, how many times has your son been arrested for driving under the influence and without car insurance
    Did the police ever beat him up ?

    I almost missed this gem

    https://thinkprogress.org/justice/2015/04/07/3643434/rand-paul-worst-president-civil-rights-since-reconstruction/

     “A free society will abide unofficial, private discrimination even when that means allowing hate-filled groups to exclude people based on the color of their skin.
    Rand Paul

    ” As a Senate candidate in 2010, he told the Louisville Courier-Journal’s editorial board that permitting whites-only lunch counters is “the hard part about believing in freedom.”

    I just had Hugh call me a racist in another thread (and say I was 'running' from him, as though I monitor these threads daily and am failing to respond because I am stumped). A white person racist against...whites...or is it blacks?!?? Who knows? They just call you a racist and that's it.

    You're racist for criticizing this cop. Except the cop is supporting police and the police state and the bigots on this site are standing behind him throwing roses because it is the VERY police state BLM is protesting. BUT YOU are the .... racist. End of story. How so? No one knows. They just say it and move on. Just wait. It they don't say it today, they'll say it soon enough because of the content of your posts.

    I wasted dozens of hours responding to posters like Slovak on here and I can't express this enough: I took those hours and put them into capping (and other things that improved my life and relationships) and I can't express how greatly I benefited.

    And if I didn't, what would I have gained? Posting on a message board is the WORST place to debate these topics because everyone here thinks they are in the right! What is proven after 50, 500 or 5000 posts on either side.

    Look at College Gambler! The guy has 600K views and thousands of posts addressing him telling him simply to flat bet and have better bankroll management (and also that the entire endeavor was a bad idea). Did he listen to any of it?

    Not only didn't he listen to it, he went out of his way to do the opposite.

    Now he's broke, bar tending and giving Uber rides. And even at that, he's in a more stable financial position now with these odd jobs than he ever was blowing up his life savings. We ALL were rooting for him despite our gibes.

    The Hugh Jordans, Slovaks, GimmeMoney's, Centaurs, Muggs, MoneySRH's etc. all are one and the same with College Gambler's mindset with regard to even remotely considering an argument made by some 40 million black Americans in unison, and now millions and millions of non-blacks who recognize their grievances against police.

    How does the list above respond? "They have blood on THEIR hands. They are complainers. They need to take care of problems in THEIR communities." It's ALWAYS the same tired and trite argument.

    Always condemning, defaming, dehumanizing to whittle down whatever self-worth or social worth anyone could have into nothingness.

    Those reactions are the very thing that drives a zeitgeist of suspicion and what is incessant inferiority claims about blacks and their communities which results in overt and subconscious bias:

    to shoot a man who claims he has a permit for a gun and is reaching for his wallet;

    or one that is selling CD's and has his hands pinned behind his back but 5 shots will be unloaded into his chest (FIVE) even when they KNEW he had a gun;

    or when a guy leaves his car and gets blown away for approaching another in a road confrontation (and then has several witnesses lie about the confrontation in the shooter's favor which is even more remarkable!);

    or one that leads to a confrontation that ends with a kid a bullet through the heart from a neighborhood watchman;

    or one that ultimately ends up in a woman's suicide when she was pulled over for failing to signal when she changed lanes (even though she only changed lanes because she was being tailed by a cop);

    or one that gets a man choked to death because he was selling loose cigarettes (even though they found no cigarettes on him);

    or one that gets a man a bullet through the heart in an empty stairwell by accident;

    or one that ends up with a kid getting blasted for the crime of 'walking in the street', and the cop's word is taken as gold when he makes claims Hulk Hogan was beating on him, even though he was the one that was heavily armed and then the long-held stereotype that blacks are charging you through a hail of bullets in invoked (and that goes back to pre-slavery times), and even after all the manipulations with regard to police testimony, the unloaded of the cop's clip in this kid was deserved according to the posters here (head down and charging...all while he was already shot)...:

    or one  that has police profiteering off black communities, fining and jailing them endlessly to meet their municipal budgets which are woefully underfunded, which leads directly to these deadly confrontations;

    It is THESE VERY POSTERS and these very sentiments expressed here that plays a direct role in the way cops are acting today against black Americans.

    We can have discussions about welfare and crime with rational individuals who have proper argumentation skills and have done legitimate research for their side. But their is a profound embrace of anti-intellectualism on this site, particularly with this issue.

    So why the hell are we doing it with the posters here? They think they've 'won' before they even started typing.

    And to answer your original question, I agree, "What the hell are those tasers doing on their hip when they are never used!"

    Regress!

That’s the way they’re going to die.”

    Blacks kill more blacks . Whites also kill more whites according to Homicide data

    Police officer is not judge, jury and executioner.
    Unwarranted shooting/violence by police officers is the problem.

    what was done ?

    And could you imagine the untold number of deaths that have occurred in the past few days in the past 100 years?

    Samuelsosa - What a load of crap. Pure fiction! You live in a fantasy world. Cops get paid jack squat for what they do. Wake up every day with the threat of dying 12+ hours a day - 5 days a week + overtime, on-call vacation, and on-call holidays, on the job 24/7. Yeah - such a glamorous job. Being a cop is a job of sacrifice! It is a volunteer job, just like being a soldier.

    Stop the BS false narrative of 108 unarmed black men were killed by police. What was the totality of the circumstances in each of those deaths? How many of those shootings were found to be justifiable? I'm guessing - all of them were found to be justifiable!

    Let me guess what happened in those cases - the black men were fighting or resisting or reaching for the officer’s weapon or made a motion that implied the suspect had a weapon and of course all were likely wearing the uniform of a thug also. Were any of the unarmed blacks educated, hard working, law abiding, model citizen, contributing members of society? I’ll answer that for you. NOPE! I bet they were thugs with lengthy records or wannabe thugs.

    I have yet to see one officer related shooting where the person that is shot dead is a model citizen. Not one!

    Hell yeah Officer Norman would be hated where Officer Stalien patrols. That cop is white. That officer would’ve been shot dead already if he tried to do Officer Stalien’s patrol. Everything you said is pseudo-intellectual liberal psycho babble nonsense.

    Black Lives Matter doesn’t make sense. What it should be is the Thug Lives Matter movement. Criminal thugs - getting gunned down for thug actions. Unarmed non-compliant thugs have been getting killed. That’s what the reality is!

    Total BS! Compliant thugs aren’t getting killed. I have yet to see a single compliant thug getting unjustifiably killed. It just happens that there is a deep seeded thug culture in the African American community. That is the root of the problem.

    BLM is nothing but a terrorist gang. MLK would absolutely appalled by the actions of BLM. Thugs portrayed as "victims." MLK sacrificed his life to show America that the blacks were just looking for a chance to be hard working, law abiding, model citizen, contributing members of society. All of his work has been crumbling down now that thugs and race pimps now represent Black America. MLK is crying from heaven.

    Legitimate research! 238 Whites killed by Police this year to 123 Black people killed! Fact! Why isn’t there a White Lives Matter movement? I’ll answer that. Because white Americans are smart enough to recognize that the actions of the white people who were killed by cops is what led to officers killing them. Imagine a white lives matter movement? The BLM movement is the neo nazi movement with black skin.

    Blacks hate cops because they believe in the thug life. Cops represent being a model citizen, honor, sacrifice, law and order. Thug life is the opposite of that. They believe in lawlessness and rebuke authority. That’s why they hate cops.

    BLM is protesting for criminal thugs and thug like behavior not for some noble and just cause like the MLK movement. What cops need to do is stop going to black neighborhoods - PERIOD!  Let the thug neighborhoods police themselves and throw the samuelsosa’s and the scalabrine’s of the psycho liberal world in that community as well with no police presence, just to see how long they live without cops keeping the thugs that they adore and defend at bay.

    Really - police state? Only the thugs are dying. When model citizens start dying, then you’ll have a point. You liberals are funny. Two of my heroes are BLACK police officers David Clarke and Jay Stalien! Both believe the BLM is garbage. I stand with them. I know scalabrine. That's racist, and I'm a racist for standing with those two BLACK officers!

    1) what are you smoking while typing this BS or what did you smoke before typing it

    Philando Castile was a thug. You have his criminal record
    Care to cite your sources . FBI report or anything else

    Say for instance Sterling,Castile or any other black killed by police,  were breaking the law, does "due process " mena anything to you

    Due process is part of the 14th Amendment
    No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his
    rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled, or deprived of his standing in any other way, nor will we proceed with force against him, or send others to do so, except by the lawful judgment of his equals or by the law of the land.[2]

    2)  You stated that BLM is nothing but a terrorist gang

    Are you high ?

    If no what terrorist acts are you talking about ?

    A) How many white peoples have BLM lynched ?

    B)How many crosses have BLM burnt in front of white people houses

    C) How many  churches have BLM bombed  ?

    3) You contradicted yourself when you stated that hite Americans are smart enough to recognize that the actions of the white people who were killed by cops is what led to officers killing them.

    what Did Sterling and Castile do ?
    did you watch the news ?

    4) You stated that Blacks hate cops because they believe in the thug life. Cops represent being a model citizen, honor, sacrifice, law and order.

    Are you serious ?

    5) who cares IF you're racist or not?

    Your racism does not address police brutality

    Read this again

    No free man shall be seized or imprisoned, or stripped of his rights or possessions, or outlawed or exiled, or deprived of his standing in any other way, nor will we proceed with force against him, or send others to do so, except by the lawful judgment of his equals or by the law of the land

    Sterling was shot at close range while being restrained
    Castile was shot multiple times with his 4 year old kid in the back seat after he told the officer that he was carrying a gun and he was also licensed to do so
