The very best CD I have bought in the last few years is Foo Fighters "Wasted Light" it won grammy's
The have a new CD out soon (that is supposed to blow that one away) due out in November.
Foo Fighters are the very best relevant rock band that exists today. I think when history looks back, they will but up there with the Eagles, Zepplin, Stones, etc. Yes I believe that.
Get you some Foo!!!!

I got a chance to see these guys live when they played in Missoula, MT a few years back. I admit I wasn't really a fan, but Foo put on one great show. They played for 3 hours solid, every hit, even some covers.
I left a fan....amazing. Top 5 best shows I have seen.
Never Make A Winner A Loser. Never.

Sometime in May, I was stoned and driving home from the movies. Put my iPod on random(have like 20k songs on it) and the first one is a DOORS song.
So 35 years of life and I never ever ever paid attention to these guys. Sure I know Jim Morrison, and I could probably ring off 10 of their hits just from listening to a lot of music over the years, but I forever ignored this band.
So I'm stoned. Good mood. WHOA THIS SONG IS INSANE. Check my iPod and somewhere along the line I had their Self Titled album and their Strange Days album. The song that caught my attention was Soul Kitchen by the way.
Anyway, I gave the self titled album a spin....and again and again. For months.
Then I worked Strange Days into the mix and I played these albums over and over all summer. Get into August and I go onto Amazon because I NEED to get their third album(Waiting for the Sun). Read some reviews and a lot said "they went soft," "the beginning of then selling out," "went away from their older darker style." Etc etc
And this album absolutely blew me away and has been on repeat on my CD player in my car for about two months. Yea, it's a little different, yea not as "hard." But Christ this albums melodies and ballads are stuck in my subconscious 24/7. Love Street. Summers Almost Gone. wintertime love....amazing. And for people who say it was soft??? Not to Touch the Earth, Umlnown Soldier, 5 to 1.....those songs have no edge???
Ok I'm babbling. So basically every minute of music I have played since May has been Doors albums 1-3. Just popped out album 3 and picked up the Soft Parade(the album known as the CRAP of the doors catalog). I can't remember the last time I was obsessed with a band like I am with these guys....maybe the Beatles? XTC/Dukes of Straphere?
