C'mon brother hutch. We're talking about a woman hiding in a closet protecting her children here. This isn't a CCL course with predicatable scenario. She warns like any other dummy and she gives away both her position and capability. That's a green light for an intruder to fire through doors an drywall. Let's get our heads together - imagine if that were you.
Ï've got a weapon, go away?" Negative, you prepare to make the perfect kill shot at the right moment.
Sorry, but I'd still try and avoid the confrontation if it was possible. I'm not saying I'd sit right in front of the door and let them know where I am, but there is no guarantee you could even perform well enough to make the correct shot once the person enters the home. I'd rather not have to have a show down with a criminal if I could avoid it. That's just me.

"If someone really only wanted possessions, they would case the place out, and break in when no one was home. I guarantee he knew a woman was home.F u madden. Guess you'd be ok happening to your wife, or mom....or boyfriend"
Yeah these people are always the brightest.
It appears you aren't either. Reread the thread... I clearly stated it wasn't about the intent of the break in.... my debate with Jeff stems from this comment.
"And yet that POS gets 3 free meals on the tax payers dime for the rest of his life. These guys were ghetto trash and they got what they deserved. I don't want anyone to have my possessions that I worked hard for. They don't deserve it. Plenty of jobs out there. These guys clearly don't want to work for anything. They want to just take. Yes, they do deserve to die."
"Don't respond saying how do we know his intentions or whatever. We have been through that already. That was not the point we were debating."

99.99% chance if someone broke into my house it would be to steal garbage and nothing more...
I probably wouldn't want them to be armed no...
No one has guns around here... They would be more likely to get shot (by accident or getting the weapon turned on them if they missed) if there was a gun in my house.
If I lived in the US or a larger city in Canada I would answer this differently.
