I hardly ever use this rod/reel anymore since I got a seven-foot-eleven Shimano Crucial CRC-S711XH rod. Extra Heavy, moderate/fast action, fifteen to thirty-pound mono, twenty to sixty-five braid, eight to sixteen inch swimbaits, roughly five to ten-ounce lures with a Penn International 975 loaded with thirty-pound Maxima mono. I plan to load it up with fifty-pound braid in the near future. I use this for swimbaits and big topwater lures.
