That actually started in the last 20 years? I would have to say the Foo Fighters.

There hasn't been much that's for sure. The best band to debut in the last 20 years is probably Dave Matthews Band. I'm not even a big Dave fan either. Pretty sad the state of music these days.

The last 20 years -

1990 - 2000

2000- 2010

I would prob say one of the best in that time period would be:

Radiohead

a couple of my personal faves:

Interpol

British Sea Power

Spiritualized

Arcade Fire

some more to be sure - but this is what popped off at the moment.

on the electronic side ( which there could be tons )

I'd say:

Moby

Underworld

Orbital

Prodigy

Union Jack / Art of Trance

Hardfloor

( these above are some of my fave. electronic artists )

Such a tough call cuz your answer will depend on what genre you like best. I'm a metalhead... so....

Even though they started more than 20 years ago, I'll pick Testament.

If it has to be a band that started within the last 20 years, I gotta stick with metal and say Lazarus AD.

(Chili Peppers are a good pick tho.. even if you don't like their stuff, they have loads of talent)
