Alice in chains. Solid album after solid album. Not as good since Layne died but saw them in Vancouver this year and they still rock.

Everything after The Who, U2, Zep, Stones, Queen, Skynard, Santana CSNY, etc is silly.

Some of these bands your're listing started way before that.

This does not mean that all those bands started during your life just because your only 20.

I know they're not "Bands" but just "Groups" but I'd like to have been their groupie...

Do they even still make bands anymore that are not corporate sellouts thrown together in some gimic mold?

I only listen to Pre-1990 music anyway so I can't answer the Q as posted.

Tons of great bands... they dont get played on mainstream radio...

Radiohead hands down.  They will be considered the new incarnation of the Beatles in years to come.

I've dabbled with guitars (but was always a drummer) and finally just got a guitar and my fingertips are all blisters thanks to Jimmy Paige and 'over the hills and far away'

Dave matthews band is a good choice too, I would be surprised if anyone made more money touring than them in the last 10 years, they get around.  Not everyone's favorite but they are extremely talented, nobody can touch Carter Beauford's drumming

Was at a bar on Saturday that had a DMB cover band.  Wanted to shoot myself.
