Not sure.  As a matter of fact, we were at a bar after the game (that was REALLY a dump) and we ordered from this place based on the advice from the 2 other people in the bar.  I'm pretty sure it was on Addison, though, so it's possible it was from Bacci's.  Granted, I'm not a pizza snob like many in Chicago and NY may be (and deservingly so...most in those towns know pizza), but we sat there eating and we all just kept saying, "this is the best pizza I've ever had."

No doubt about that. Its strange that if you go to one of the Home Run Inn restaurants, the pizza is just awful. It is so much different than the frozen ones you can buy in stores

Yeah Bacci in Wrigleyville is def a dump from what I remember.  But they do serve GIANT slices of great pizza.  I remember stumbling in there after a Cubs game on the walk back to the train.

My fav frozen is the "Jewel Frozen Pizza"

that's the place that ships to other states.  i keep saying i'm going to buy some but haven't yet.

Pizza is like puussy, even when it's bad, it ain't THAT BAD!!


Seriously, it depends on where in Chicago you're at. Lou Malnati's as an example has some variation from one location to another. Still, most local neighborhood places that have been here a while do a decent pizza. It's hard to go really, really wrong with an old neighborhood place. 

Italian beef, now that's something else. Johnnie's beef in Elmwood Park or Arlington Heights is the only location for heaven on earth.

My dad grew up a block away from Johnnies so I grew up on that beef. Hands down the best beef. What's even better is their Italian ice though. It's out of this world. On a hot summer day the lines are insane but its worth the wait

So I have no answer to your question, but typically pizza is associated with New York.

There is a place over here called Unos Chicago Pizza. Can't say that I've ever tried it. Does Unos make good "Chicago Style" Pizza?

The Original Papa Joe's one location in Oak Lawn the other in New Lenox. Similar to Piasanos but better buttery crust

Giordanos is legit. right downtown and the restuarant inside is straight downtow chicago style

It just has a great flavor. A bit over priced but definitly good.  I recommend the three meat if you can find.  I also like to basically burn it in the oven.  Love my pizza well done!

Its unbelievable how many pizza places there are in Chicagoland.  I have like 5 or 6 that I debate over every time I order.  Recently found this place called "Jets" they have stores in other cities as well.  Its just a damn good PAN pizza, make sure to get the turbo crust and turbo bread!

Giordanos or Lou Malnatis, try both, you will have a fave.

Genos East is a poor mans Giordanos too me as far as taste goes.

Lou's has the best crust, Giordanos the better everything else.
