I don't listen to much rap, but I sure can appreciate it. Not the commercialized stuff nowadays but the one's that actually have substance..

Having said that I got to wondering some of the best diss songs...I'm biased because Tupac is my favorite rapper, think he is an absolute legend..

Hit em up is definitely I think the best. What do ya'll think?

I don't know all the obscure underground shit and I'm not straight mainstream either I fall somewhere in the middle.  I think these two appeal to the masses while maintaing some street cred.

Jay-z tried to come back with different songs and free styles, but in the end although Jay-Z can be considered the more accomplished rapper, Nas is more intelligent, conscious, creative and has a better use of the english language in the rapping style...

Nas can say more in one song then Jay-Z in one album....

So this battle was won easily and well done by Nas...

real mothafuckin G's def a good one.  funny side story it took me like 5 years to realize they were saying "COMPTON...COMPTON...COMPTON" at the begining.  You know how there are songs you can hear hundreds of times and then finally have that realization of what the lyrics are?  Well that was me with "Compton".
