Often in between....that's the rub. I have been dead wrong on many things I'm sure. But I think I am closer to the "truth" in what I believe if I take everything and evaluate it on its own merits as opposed to just flat picking a side. Part of the reason I voted half democrat and half republican last election.
i guess the truth will come out one day after we are gone and our grandchildren live harmoniously on a peaceful planet.

hmm....what about the other earlier wtc bombers who's sitting at some penitentiary and living the comfy life with tax payers $?
we tried and executed timothy mcvey...
how could it be a disaster to take him into custody?
they don't have anywehre near the following with the crazy religious element that bin laden has. we needed to put that guy behind us. plus, it would be such a circus and we'd probably fuck it up somehow.

Hey Kap....i take it you're experienced in law....
do you think the people (not the govt) have enough evidence to prosecute and execute OBL?
my take is, this smells like a mob hit. OBL working with the CIA/Mossad and got whacked before OBL could drop dime on his co-defendants.
The people not the government? I'm not sure I follow, Pokin. When the "people" bring a case against someone, its really the government that is bringing the case on behalf of the "people" -- they are the "people's" representative in court proceedings like this.

that may be true...but just basing the amount of possible followers isnt enough i think. what if timothy mcvey is down with the arian nation or kkk....then his following would be huge as well.
i guess my conclusion is, you get rid of one and replace with another to keep the cycle of terror ongoing

i understand the part where the govt represents the "people" but i highly doubt they care about what we the "people" say. because if they listened to us we would know who, what, why they killed JFK/RFK... why wait 100 years? lol
what i was referring to is...do the people have all the right information to make a intelligent case against someone who the govt trained and funded?

I think so. Some conspiracy theorists act like we funded and trained bin Laden in hopes that one day he would strike back at the US so that we could then seize people's civil liberties. In reality we just did what US foreign policy has done for decades -- funds the enemies of our enemies. I find it highly doubtful that we did so for any other reason back in the 1980's other than "this will be bad for the Soviets" which was our predominant concern at the time.

Ok...i agree it is not a theory, but it is a conspiracy that our civil liberties are diminishing each and everyday.

It's not a conspiracy -- its going on right out in the open but no one really cares here in the US. At least, they dont to the point that they would be willing to die for it here in my part of the country.

i completely agree with your statement.....at the same time its a humane thing im trying to convey. how are we so quick to judge and prosecute?
do you know there are so many innocent people the govt puts in jail for something they did not do? whether its OBL or joe shmoe everyone deserves to prove their innocence.
No - everyone does not deserve to prove their innocence.
In fact, as an adult there is virtually nothing that EVERYONE deserves - especially a mass murderer..

The United States Of America is the best fucking country in the world.
I remember 10 years ago reading a National Geographic and there was a full page picture in Pakistan.
There were 2 men in a Mini-Van and the passenger was holding a burning U.S. flag out the window. It was on fire and he was smiling with people around the van.
I quickly noticed a large OAKLEY sunglasses sticker on the front of the windshield.
You cannot have both.
They embrace and emulate the western culture while hating and despising it at the same time.
The idiocy that stems from most of these fucks is repulsive.

i agree with ya.....BUT i find it odd US would kill an unarmed man, that's so un-American. If i was charged with something, id like a fair trial...we are innocent until proven guilty...or is that not the case anymore?
He proudly claimed ownership of his actions.........do you think he would suddenly deny them at a trial?

well in reality, supposedly he's dead. so hypothetically for arguments sake, what would happen if we did capture and detain him? he would've been found guilty and probably executed. that would've been a good closure but instead there's more misinformation and hype....and a little more mystery for the conspiracy. disaster? really?? you're watching too many movies. either scenario will bring you the same result is basically what the deal is.
before any attack happened on US soil i think hollywood and media is partly to blame. after all they are the
ones who put it on the big screen and glorified terrorism and made sure we are conditioned to think a terrorist is automatically of arab or muslim decent.

I really thing there is a difference between your average U.S. citizen and Osama.......
As for the unarmed man part, he was caught, wherever, with a woman that was "gifted" to him when she was 15. Me? I'd shoot him just for that, but................
If you are a soldier, and told to shoot on sight, what do you do?
