2 dui's no, you don't want to be a cop anyway, cops are dickwads. Get in with social services where you can help people rather than harass them.

social service doesn't run an intense background check and questioning like police.

Both are misdemeanors in your case unless you plowed through a daycare center.

Highly unlikely. DUI's and DV's are killers.

Take the exam, score well and all sorts of opportunities will open up. Good luck and don't think ahead....you'll be fine.

If it were in Canada your application would be thrown out right away. Can't comment about elsewhere.

Here in the Bay Area, it's no DUI in the last 2-3 years and you are fine.

Find out what the rule is where you will apply.

you're asking the wrong questions if you want to be a cop 

1) are you below average intelligence and barely graduated high school

2) does having a badge and a gun excite you and makes you think you've made it.

3) are you sort of person who has trouble making conversation and leaving a party early

if yes to the above, you're perfect cop material

OP needs advice about which car he should purchase. Needs to know if he can become a cop and says he's moving to Cali.  Perhaps see a fortune teller?

Do you enjoy driving at an excessive rate of speed?

Do you know how to work a pair of handcuffs, professionally and personally?

When you're drinking a beer, do you sometimes look at your mug and yell "Freeze!" and actually think it makes the beer colder?

When you play with yourself, do you ever catch yourself saying "Hold it right there!"

Ever practice with your firearm by playing Russian roulette?

Ever tell your girlfriend "You have the right to remain silent?"

When you're with your girlfriend/wife and are "doing it"-do you consider it an act of love, or a cavity check?

Do you ever park your car illegally, hoping you'll get a ticket, just so you'll learn a policemans name when he signs the ticket under Issuing Officer?

Ever drop your trunks at the beach and tell people "Move along, nothing to see here!"

Enjoy shooting people, especially minorities?

What's with the huge amount of negativity towards cops in this thread, Are they really that bad over there? I always thought the negativity towards them was just whiny Black people but clearly not.
