Oh by the way there's a nationwide cell phone service in China that all cell providers are providing to authorities, if you send a text from your cell phone to a certain phone number they will send a text message reply explaining what cities the user's phone has been in the past day, week, month using the gps in the phone to track the user's whereabouts (history). So when someone in China tries to cross the border between cities and they are asked if they have been in Wuhan, the authorities can take their phone, send text message and verify their response as being truthful or not to allow them to cross the border. Very big-brother-ish but I guess it keeps people honest and helps contain the virus.
Cruise ship off Tokyo, I do not believe there have been any deaths reported, but infected count up to about 280-ish. The U.S. is preparing to evacuate via plane all U.S. citizens on the ship. The rest of the passengers were given the option to quarantine off the ship at apartments that have no local phone or internet access. There should be green (safe from infection) zones and red (questionable infection possible) zones that were not strictly enforced. He stated there was a quite a bit of intermingling of people crossing zones and not taking appropriate precautions. This could explain such a high rate of spread on the ship.
The British couple I have been following daily on Facebook has been moved to the mainland to an apartment where they will have no local phone, no wifi, and no onsite medical care. Based on the problems I described above that the ship is facing, even though they will be cut off from communicating to the rest of the world, it is probably better off for their health.
