    @wallstreetcappers

     ETH network/chain is the only one with high gas fees…. Unfortunately I’m stuck with them..if I didn’t have what I do in PEPE/TURBO/KARRAT/PEIPEI / PSTAKE, i would ditch them all together ..I have other coins on the network but nothing to value of what I do in these..I’ve talked to you offline so you know what I have in PEPE.. I’m blessed beyond all means man so it’s a love / hate with ETH..  I’ve said it many times that I would rather use SOL/BASE/BNB to do my trading but unfortunately there are not too many coins on those where u can turn 4-5 figures into 6-7 figures in weeks/months unless you were very early to WIF/BONK or even early to SOL or BRETT on Base..

    SOL is coming along now along with BASE.. you will see more and more on those networks.

    $Wolf on solana and $Ponke are close but they are “newer”..  I can trade those all day long for pennies.  They will eventually get to the billions like Pepe..

    As for the ALT/MEME comment , people buy into it as they do stock .. IMO it’s no different than a stock for a company .. YES -the vast majority of stock have utility behind it but at end of day the value comes from what people are willing to pay for it.. same with alt coins- value comes from what people are willing to pay .. Example- apple stock, you don’t own anything from the money you may put into the stock. We all have Apple phones but they don’t give you anything when you buy stock..  You own “expectation” of what their products are doing .. well same with crypto .. it’s oil and water at end of day but IMO they are no different.

    IMO - Crypto levels the field for middle class .. you can become well off with homework.  Yes it’s a gamble but it happens everyday. I’m not going to get into all that with same song and dance but you know what I’m talking about ..Name 1 stock where you can invest 10-20k and have a return of 150-200k in months.  And that’s playing it safe.  I will not advertise the 100x and 1000x coins but that happens everyday.  I literally followed a wallet on “crash” day who made a $3500 trade and cashed out 125k on a day where the world was coming to an end supposedly.. Yes it will probably end up a rug pull but it’s still there and going as of this second  ( that’s why I will not talk about coins like that)

    My thought is crypto is actually safer than stock to an extent.  On a blockchain , you can see every transaction.. nothing is hidden.. so you can see if owners or CEO’s or dev’s are getting rid of their money .. in a dirty boardroom of a stock office , it’s hidden .. so the rich get richer and the poor get richer in 30 years.  an_roll_laughObviously this is a general statement ..

    Can you see every transaction made on a stock floor / or on web in real time ?  So you can pull your money when they do.. you always “hear about it”.  I’m honestly asking , there may be a way ?  I don’t trade stock.  I can see in crypto every penny trade or 100 million trade going on LIVE.  You can the wallets of the “owners”.  Now we all know there are secret stash but that’s everything in world.. Can you see the stock movement live and to the second ?

    And I don’t want to hear about some SEC regulated thing .. you know and I know that is for the rich.  Clowns that enforce rules on policies for idiots like Trump /Biden/Kamala. They only enforce when it hurts their pockets .. I can’t stand them all an_beatup.. Crypto gives you the freedom ..

    Market holding good ..

    BTC up to 56

    ETH up to 2500

    SOL up to 145

    I think the IRAN fears and the BlackRock bulk buying ( along with buying comes selling ) is putting some fear into market to keep it from taking off… but we will get there

    remember take profits on this journey.. as small as they may be.. adds up over the long haul..

    Yeah bounce looks like it is holding so far, maybe the BoJ got past the event and are now back in control of their credit markets. Lets hope so.

    The alt universe is crazy I have such a hard time coming from the stocks era of hype and manipulation where these alts are completely the same but the difference is that in crypto there is no recourse or regulation, if someone gets ripped off or scams well that is how it goes and too bad so sad, at least with the financial markets there are regulators and exchanges that police fraud and scams.

    Then you add the huge risks you have WITH the exchanges and with theft, AND the fees associated and difficulty making the process simple. It should be that any alt coin can be accessed with a reasonable path with reasonable costs and reasonable safety, all those issues put risk on the "investor" I use quotes because most meme hype people are not really investing it is gambling and there is nothing wrong with that as we both know!

    Maybe if some of my recent trades work out I will dust off the old Coinbase login and put a few bucks out there and play around some, I do like risk and crazy action but my past with the OTCBB and pink sheets and even with the scams that went on during Covid make me reluctant.

    @wallstreetcappers

     It took me a while… I remember reading Van thread back in day and was calling him “in the back of my head” an idiot..  BUT I’m not afraid to admit it , he was right … I would own an island with the type of money I have invested now bigsmile.. am I’m not a big timer at all.. just lucky.. back then it was just BTC..no alt/meme.. I was the idiot , real talk

    I was an idiot in 2017 when I was buying them at a 1000 and forgetting I had portions still in my account.  Now I’m not, it’s not too late ..because in 5-10 years it will be the same cycle but with greatly increased values ..what I try to do is preach that it’s easy .. not as hard as it seems .. I’m just an old hillbilly ( not really but that’s what people call us ) from Texas an_roll_laugh ..Hell my kids still hook up my stuff to internet and networks.. I couldn’t even do the damn mesh int system for my house .…moral to story , if I can do it then anyone can ..

    Yes it can be risky but everything in life is .. you risk your life ( in today world ) every time you leave the house ..I carry a pistol everywhere I go.. I have  a modified AR in my truck in case pistol is not enough an_roll_laugh..so don’t let “risk” keep you away..

    Honestly , I’ve cut back on gambling (sports)..  I still bet every day or two but not 3-5 games everyday like I was ..this is gambling just like stock market..but you never lose your money to 0 unless you never pay attention.. you can see it coming… you have time to cut losses.  You may not get full investment but you can salvage.  I stay with the less risky coins. I rarely venture into very high risk UNLESS I’m bored. I know that sounds bad but it’s the truth .. I also use ETH /BTC for  sports betting.  I put my dollar amount I’m betting for month in let it grow or if it’s doing bad then I’ll move to usdc until I’m ready to deposit.  So there are so many benefits to it

    Hell Coinbase has a guaranteed USDC account of 5%..  my buddy uses it..  he has his paycheck go into Coinbase and draw interest and then feeds his bank when he needs to paybills that don’t accept crypto.. there is no savings or checking account these days giving u guaranteed 5%.. I don’t use it because I’m not a fan of Coinbase and I’ve used Robinhood for so long..

    Give it a shot.. every cycle has a new “narrative”.. this one is MEME coins , next may be AI coins.  You follow the money..start off slow and learn the networks.  Transfer very small amount until you get hang of it.  There is no customer service so you are on your own BUT it’s easy after a week or so .. very easy.

    Well you know why Coinbase gives that 5% right? They are leveraging it against their customers, so I am sure to get that 5% you have to have what in the investment markets is a MARGIN account, that means the firm can lend your investments and can use your balances to lend to other investors at margin rates to them...so say I put in 10k in that stable coin and leave it there, well Coinbase can count your deposit and holding as collateral that they can use to lend for investors who want to borrow and in return they pay a yield but they are lending at MUCH WORST rates to those borrowing..lol

    Question for you, so the big door is Coinbase I do understand all the schematics from when I was looking back like 5 plus years ago, the gate is Coinbase then from there you meander to other venues to get the alts...using something like USDT or ETH or BTC then you take that and transfer it to another exchange and maybe another and maybe another, all that to get to some seedy exchange that hosts the alts and then you convert to the alt and back again to finally get back to your bank which is hooked to Coinbase or another large firm who the bank will do business with.

    So what is your path from bank/Coinbase or Robinhood or wherever to where you roll the dice with the alts? And how are you securing your steps along the way, what is the security path you use to make sure that you are not risking on a transfer that you get screwed or that in some bush exchange your alt coins get stolen before you can return to the safety of your bank?

    @wallstreetcappers

     Coinbase and RH are “exchanges”..

    I have wallets in Phantom, MetaMask and Uniswap.. there are hot and cold wallets

    I also have Ledger - u can search the explanation on that but IMO one of most secure but not all coins transfer.

    Here is a generic explanation :

    An exchange be it CB or RH or crypto .cxx or Mexc or any of those is where u GET PAID.. think of it as the bank

    Your wallet is where u buy everything .. u fund a wallet directly with debit card or you can send crypto u purchase from an exchange .. most exchanges don’t have the variety that a wallet will though .. also you don’t own anything on an exchange.. u kinda answered that with leverage question..that’s why everyone tells you to take your coins once u purchase from exchange and move to your wallet .. but funding is very safe .. I do it all the time .. there are various reasons I may fund a wallet ( even if I have USDC/Tether) but i will explain that offline an_wink..

    Each meme coin belongs to a network/chain.. u find all that info on CoinMarketplace or coingecko , dexscreener etc..

    example I want to buy $wolf on solona: get my wallet (phantom) and  purchase either usdc or solana and convert to that particular meme .. again some exchanges have certain memes where u don’t have to do that..then you can just transfer to your wallet or leave in exchange ( not the best idea though in case they ever go under like FTX but CB and RH pretty safe ) but as you get going and sale/trade u will accumulate USDC and you can use that for everything ..

    again generic explanation and sounds complicated but it’s very very very easy ..once u do it a few times it’s so quick. Literally seconds !!!

    RH and CB and CDC are all compatible with USA.  Have to use VPN for others that’s if you want.  Remember they all have different rates so it’s like shopping in a way..

     Trust me you are like I was .. I was like this crap sounds so screwed up for a simple transaction but as you go , you don’t even notice it.  It’s natural ..

    Just remember to match networks/chains..  ETH coins go to ETH .. SOL coins go to Solana etc etc..u don’t want to send a ETH coin to your SOL addy.. u will lose forever .. that’s why I always tell people to transfer small $1 and $2 amounts when you first start .. its becomes elementary after a few ..

    Each wallet/exchange will have an address for network/chains.. so it’s copy and paste .. u will know your addy after several hundred times .. always verify !!! Again you can’t get it back that’s why it’s CRYPTO ..

    So are there any stable coins that are universal and you dont need to hop either ETH or SOL or BTC or whatever? So say you had one universal coin that you could exchange for any meme/alt and then you would be able to sell to that stable coin, use that as your sole end source...and then swap it to BTC and to bank if you want to cash out?

    The other thing I understood about Coinbase being an exchange, I kind of thought that the large guys like Coin were the top tier entry exchanges that banks allow to and from but that the other smaller alt coins were ALSO on exchanges, just minor ones...so my thought was that I take gross dirty cash from bank to coinbase then depending on what alt I was looking for, take the BTC or ETH I got on Coinbase and move it to that exchange for use there to purchase the meme coins, but you are saying I could buy ETH or whatever from Coinbase, put it in a Ledger and then from the ledger I could purchase PONKE or whatever right from the ledger and in most cases hold it directly in that same ledger away from wherever it was exchanged, then when I wanted to sell I just use that exchange address that I bought PONKE on and it gets exchanged back to the stablecoin I choose and right into my ledger/wallet...then do the next one and when I want to get back to dirty stinky USD bank I just go to Coinbase and then sell to USD and transfer to bank.

    So are there any stables like say Tether that you can get most all alt/memes without the fees that ETH has? Is it that ETH alts are more in demand and the alt only uses ETH network so people if they want that they MUST use ETH and pay the scam fees for doing so?

    I will explain more tomorrow .. fixing to play some poker ..

    but there is a difference between exchange and wallet..basically a wallet can’t convert to fiat..in most cases a wallet can convert to anything else that can be used on an exchange for fiat.  The easiest way to say it is whatever network/chain u use to buy the meme of your choice , convert it back to that once want to sell and the transfer that to exchange.  Be it ETH, SOL , BNB BASE etc..u can use tether and usdc also.

    a ledger is a cold storage.  There are hot and cold wallets..cold is stored off line and hot is online. There is more to it but that a basic explanation.  Both are safe but cold is basically out of site and out of mind. As I said earlier, I have a ledger but it doesn’t except ALL coins.  Eventually they will .. It’s used to store like a safe at a house ..

    I still have a memory stick for crypto I purchased last time and I never used it. At the time it was one of the few that were higher rated and kept the code offline and safe but I am sure now there are better cheaper options and as you say that cover more comprehensive digital assets. I think the one I have was for just the majors at the time.

    The lingo you use I get it with regard to location and exchanges I was thinking of it in a different way but I think the conclusion is the same as I was thinking.

    If it plays out right , there will be some good buying opportunities for crypto today and tomorrow ..

    Should  see some dips.. naturally .. barring any war FUD or any of that ..  saw some major selling this morning , sure it’s etf related.  Should continue where some good entries will be there

    Take advantage !!!

    XRP

    Did its things today.  If XRP can maintain levels , it will be a force.  People have used XRP as a “stable” coin for so long because there is hardly any movement .. I have XRP in one of my original wallets.  I just haven’t been able to do anything with it because it’s been in red for so long.

    I would like to see XRP do what it was designed to do .. then we could see the $1-2 range.  All the crap about $10-100 is FUD.. is it impossible NO but it would need to be at BTC level to get there.  I wish it would but it would need to be worth hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars to get there ..just don’t see that in next few years.  But the $1-2 is obtainable if it’s holding value..

    I will say this, XRP has one of the biggest “fan” groups there is so anything is possible …they have some big wallets and if retail ever got in it then we could see that big level.

    Im definitely watching it now since lawsuit is over .. they just need to gain trust of retail crowd.

    I'm a big doubter on XRP, I hope if you have some it goes up a ton but I am skeptical of it.

    @wallstreetcappers

     I don’t have a lot .. I bought $500 worth when I first got into crypto.  I didn’t know a bunch about things and just put money in the popular stuff then.  Been stuck in there ever since.  bigsmile  I’m around .70.. I’m going to let it ride though.  I haven’t missed it for this long so might as well.  I will add more if it starts to do something.

    BTC has hit 60k at some exchanges. If we can hold above that then we will go higher.  If it struggles , we will see dip this weekend IMO.  Good buying opportunity..

    As I’ve been saying for last month .. I’m sticking to it .. we will increase significantly if history replays itself !!  I’m not a financial guru or fortune teller BUT I see either / or happening. We take off from here or we will do  another Udip then take off .. I’ve been saying Q4 and I’m sticking to it.  Again my only worry if the ETF.  It’s so hard to get a reading when 1 wallet manages thousands of people.  Usually u can see what each person is doing.

    Im ready !!!

    @wallstreetcappers

     Yeah it’s getting going but nowhere close to where it end up being. $5 is being conservative IMO..I think we will end up in the $7-10 range.  It has all the “factors”.. community , acceptance and sustainability ..

    When I got into PONKE , I was wishing for a $1..  it blow that out.  If this plays out right , my PEPE transaction will be nothing compared to this.  win

    Anything under .60 is good buy in .. that’s around the corner. PONKE has the candles that make a coin. It takes off fast.  And comes down slow ..

    IMO the only thing that can hurt PONKE is Solana.. that’s the chain it’s on.  Other than that , there is not a downside to it.

    PONKE and $WOLF are my 2 underdogs ( if you want to call them that).  They are both “established” so they are far from underdogs but they are not the WIF and BONK.. BUT I think they will steal business from them.. smart crypto traders want the higher X values.  W and B have billion dollar values.  Hard to X those.  U can still make a good percentage don’t get me wrong but P and W will get the times value u want.

    Check out MOG coin..

    That is one of my biggest regrets .. I’m in it now but don’t have a very strong position .. I had this pegged EARLY and let it go.. I will admit it.  I was stupid paint_help.. it has grown to 700-800 mil.  It’s back down close to 600..

    That group is like a cult !!!  They are SERIOUS about it.  Very good community.  They take it serious.  Like I said , one of my biggest regrets..

    I only trade it now ( for most part )..  it has a good “day trading chart “.  You take the “crash”!out and that chart is beautiful.  Check it out WSC

    FYI

    This is why i always sound like a broken record .. DO NOT listen to people (including myself bigsmile) or the hype ..

    Look up $RTR… people got wrecked today. Millions upon millions upon millions LOST.  They got scammed into thinking it’s the new “Trump” family coin

    First off I’m not a political person.  Both candidates are morons and idiots .. I’m INDY..unfortunately I will have to vote for one.  But that’s my business ( will probably vote for the one who helps my crypto the most and that’s sad because they will both do more harm than good) anyhow, Trump material is or was the hot thing in crypto. Unfortunately there are tons of scams.  And this was one of them that wrecked people today.  20-30million lost in 5-6hours..

    I repeat , do your own thing !!!

    Small gains through the market today..

    BTC maintaining the 60k

    ETH maintaining 2600

    Weeknds are always wishy washy..if we can escape the weekend with “maintaining” then next week will be good.  IMO the month of August will be up and down.. we need to get through August and early September then the fireworks should begin.  Nothing 100%

    For you Shiba lovers , it’s trying to get through.  I think once it can get to “15” and STAY above then we will see the big leg up. It has fought every level up from the 10 area and has been able to consolidate and nice move up.. I still have some SHIB but I’m not adding anymore UNLESS they will burn more.  But it’s a very nice community and will be profitable in the long run. If you want a safe coin , Shib is one. No doubt just make sure you buy on dips don’t buy on Green Day’s.
